JAZZ — WhatsApp for your local area

Hi guys! I'm Ismaël Méité, I'm a French entrepreneur and the co-founder and CEO of JAZZ. I built JAZZ with my brother, Sylvain Méité, who is also my co-founder and CTO. JAZZ is a free location-based instant messaging app that enables you to chat with people near you and connect with your area. Wherever you are, you just have to open JAZZ to see other users near you and instantly start chatting with anyone as you would in real life. On JAZZ, you'll not find dating apps features like "Swipes", "Likes" or "Matchs"... that's why we define ourselves more like a WhatsApp to chat and connect with people around you rather than another dating app. We built JAZZ to give people an easy and fun way to connect with their area wherever they happen to be. Whether you’re new to a city and want to make some new local friends, or if you want to find like minded people and hang out together, or just to chat, JAZZ is an easy way to connect with people around you. There are the key features you'll find in this first version: ◆ People nearby: Wherever you happen to be, just open JAZZ to see other users near you. You can filter users by gender, age range or distance within a 125 mile radius. ◆ Chat: Instantly chat with other users near you. There are no swipes, no likes, no matchs, just chat freely with anyone as you would in everyday life. ◆ Shout: The shout feature acts like a local news feed by showing you posts from other users near you within a 10 mile radius. It enables you to share news, crack jokes, ask questions, offer support, and interact freely with everyone nearby and connect with your local community. Right now you can only "Shout" text and photos but we are already working to add a video feature.
