We’re so excited to launch Jitter 1.0 and share it with you today!!
Jitter is a fast and simple motion design tool on the web. You can easily create stunning animations for your videos, websites, apps, socials, content, and more – it’s like Figma but for motion design. 💫
Two years ago, we launched our beta on Product Hunt and the feedback from the community has been incredible. We've had hundreds of conversations with designers, founders, marketers and developers, and we used that to make our tool even more accessible and powerful: we introduced animation presets, the ability to import designs from Figma, more export formats, and several productivity improvements.
Our users now say that Jitter is the fastest and simplest tool to create animated content & interfaces, for individuals. And this year, we want to make Jitter the **best animation tool for professionals**: designers, teams, and businesses.
When @etienn and I started Jitter, we had one mission in mind: **make motion design accessible to everyone**. This new version is just the first step towards that mission. In this release, we are bringing a complete UI overhaul to make Jitter look more professional yet playful, and a ton of new features to make you more productive.
But most importantly, this is the foundation on which we’ll build the future of our platform over the next few years. In 2023, we’re planning to add teams and collaboration features, infinite canvas with multiple artboards, custom animation presets, and more… The future is exciting and we can’t wait to show you everything we have in store!!

Animating a design has always been a hard skill to master, and I always felt like we needed a modern alternative to Adobe After Effects – minus the steep learning curve. Jitter is evolving every day in the best possible manner to give back to the creative community and make motion design simple, fast, and more accessible.

I've been a paying customer of Jitter for a couple years and it just keeps getting better, often in subtle but powerful ways. The product design is next level there is nothing there that isn't necessary. My favorite moments are when I want to do something and try it and it just works the way I would expect it to (say, selecting multiple elements and creating a group with common keyboard shortcuts without having to look for help or examples). If I have an animation idea I'm not going to open up after effects and watch half a dozen tutorials on youtube to understand how to make it happen, I just know I can open up Jitter and get a cool animation for my tweet or presentation within 20 minutes. Keep up the good work!

Really the kind of platform that makes you look back and remember that a few years ago you needed 40h of lessons, a super expensive Adobe license and a super powerful PC to run these, and now it's so freaking easy and fast!
Jitter is so good!! Been using it for our simple animations and loving it.
From a business model perspective i'm curious where y'all are taking Jitter long-term? in what new areas can we expect to see Jitter develop in the coming years?

The demand for animated content is rising rapidly, and motion is becoming essential for all user-facing content, such as websites, apps, videos, social media. Companies need to produce unique, brand-aligned animated content, but this is so hard to do with the current tools.
To address this, we are launching Jitter with two main use cases: content and interface design. And in the future, we want to be the go-to platform for any animation work: videos, GIFs for email campaigns, animations for apps, websites, socials, etc.
And of course, we want to make these workflows available to teams and enable users to build on each other's work with Community files!
Jitter is a simple yet powerful tool for motion design. It has got the Principle vibes. We just started using it at Hygraph for marketing templates.
I believe Jitter is a game-changer for UI animations. No need to deal with after-effects anymore. What rive did for motion graphics, Jitter made the same thing for UI animations. Awesome tool!

Absolutely Fantastic @jittervideo @robi ! I'm not a designer and I used to use After Effects to create motion graphics for my wife's D2C smoothie brand.
Just switched to Jitter, created an awesome looking 15 second video and paid the PRO subscription to export in 1080p.
Love how the team at Jitter has taken the effort to make the UI look and feel like Figma. A great to use familiarity to their advantage.
Feature requests:
* Would love the ability to add music to content. I had to do it offline using QuickTime player.
