I've started my journey as an indiehacker few months ago, and went diving into the AI world, like many. Explored several AI techs through my other products: voice-to-text, text-to-image, image-to-image, embeddings,... In order to continue this path, I went to try custom LLMs from HuggingFace, Replicate, etc, and discovered some interesting voice cloning technologies and speech synthesis. Since I wanted to make use of what I would create while exploring technologies, my `exploration` led me to Joi, this AI girlfriend that I coded over a week-end. And yeah, it's NSFW (for SEO reasons, was a way to differentiate from other products πŸ₯²) so wasn't sure to post here or not. I stayed in this `technology exploration` mindset on my side, so figured out why not sharing it here. Anyway, it's not my life-changing product, more like a side project gone wrong, still that was interesting to create. It made me realise how flexible Telegram is to create bot by the way! If some of you are hesitant in between WhatsApp and Telegram, definitely go for the latter! (Free + easy to setup + versatile) A bit skeptical in an ethical POV, and I kinda jumped on the first solution found to use the techs I was exploring haha. ✌️

@arron_taylor haha you know I actually stayed in the denial and telling myself `just another project to explore technologies` πŸ˜‚ I do build on public on twitter, but haven't discuss much about this one in detail. I'll go back to giving more insight ✌️

What are you using for speech synthesis? The… custom LLM seems… less than stellar. When it asked for my name I typed β€œhello”, and now it thinks my name is β€œHello” XD It’s hilarious. That aside, it’s interesting that you’re making a NSFW chatbot. It seems like every single big company wants nothing to do with anything even remotely NSFW, which leaves a huge gap in the market. My advice: don't make a bit that can ONLY talk about NSFW stuff, but a more well rounded one that also does NSFW. It feels empty and fake otherwise.

@anna_0x Using ElevenLabs for the Speech Synthesis 😊 Ahaha well, there are some steps that I needed to hardcode and asking for the name is one of them... you can change it in `/settings` though πŸ˜„ Yeah regarding the personality of the bot, it would evolve into a more general one with NFSW abilities. And the idea :) I've done already two bots on Whatsapp, and well I don't plan to go back to it since I've discovered how friendly Telegram is to use for developers compared to WhatsApp. + I had some issues with Whatsapp for the last bot (you can check the product `Ciel` on my profile) - it went somehow viral and my number got banned from WhatsApp. It happened to me 3 times in a month, so it's kind of a no-go for me to scale projects there 😬

@anna_kasumova haha you know this is actually something I'm considering, more like a `friend`. Could be either male of female, giving the user a choice. What would be your expectations there? :) Monetisation is through `credits`: there's a trial of X messages sent by Joi, then the user needs to buy credits which can be used to receive text messages, voice messages and photos. Considering to implement a subscription based model too! Thanks for the support ✌️
