@brinleekidd we need to make an account just to read the content? Not even a few nodes are open to the public… You must understand why many people might not want to create another account (or give yet another service access to their Google account's email)
@anna_0x Great feedback! We used to have this but saw a decrease in sign-ups/emails collected.
@brinleekidd is that necessarily a bad thing?
I've signed up for a lot of services that wouldn't let me access content without an account, only to unsubscribe from their mailing list immediately. Not only that, but more often than not, unsubscribing won't actually remove me from the list, so then I had to also report the emails as spam.
I'll just say this: there's no tool I enjoy using and would recommend that used such tactics to make me sign up. Take that as you will.
