We have a 100% remote team since last 6 months and have found good use with Kaapi's icebreakers. We use this tool regularly and definitely recommend it!
I was sceptical about the icebreaker bot when my co-founder set it up it because who wants more notifications? BUT I really like it today because this simple Slack bot made it easy for team members to engage with people they don't work with.
We've been using Kaapi's icebreakers for ~2 months. We are a distributed and remote team(12 members) that loves async meetings. That's why Kaapi's icebreakers have been useful and randomly fun. Every single person in our company uses it a few times a week!

What can this bot do more of?
1. Make it easier for team members to contribute questions. Today the Kaapi admin is the only person that can create questions
2. Introduce text-based team games like Werewolf or trivia
3. Ask every new team member a bunch of questions when they join Slack so that we can use this bot as a way of introducing people to the team
@abhishek_nayak This made my day Abhishek!
1. Working on this point! Definitely high priority ..
2. Hmm not sure about this one. We don't want to go too heavily on the side of 'fun and games'. Some other stuff on the roadmap is 360 degree feedback, 1-on-1 meetings etc
3. Oh yes for sure. We are doing a few onboarding sessions to learn best practices to do this. Great feedback! Keep it coming :)
@ankit_arora3 Happy be a user :) The 360 degree feedback bot would be useful. I do think there's a space for a fun organizer in remote teams, but its going to be a tougher sell for sure.
Thanks @kevin for the hunt! Icebreakers was a weekend project for me and @adityarao310 - but it has quickly become a very popular feature at Kaapi ๐
Remote work is great, but everyone misses the fun & spontaneous conversations at office! The unplanned cafe hangouts. Or bumping into a joyful water cooler break ๐บ
And this is why our Icebreakers work! We send a randomly selected fun question to your team over Slack. The answers are publicly posted for everyone to participate in. You get to hi-five ๐someone new, discover shared interests with colleagues or simply smile as you scroll through the fun threads ๐
Hope to see you all aboard Kaapi. And we are here to answer any questions! :)
Looks like a really fun product to keep team members engaged! In case it helps, I've added feedback here over the landing page :)
Congratulations launching on Product Hunt!
Congrats on the launch! A couple of questions:
1. Really like that it's a fixed priced for a whole team. How do you intend to upset to companies in the future though?s
2. I like the different types of engagement, but how can I see how much variation there is in the Avenger type content? ie, how long will this content keep my team going?
