Oiii!! 👋 What's up creators, solopreneurs, experts, makers, and doers?! I'm Adam (one of the makers of this thing). Just when you thought your life couldn't get more challenging, I'm excited to inform you about another challenge to add to your list: THE KAHANA CREATOR CHALLENGE 🥵 So what the heck is this all about? I'll get straight to the point. When my friend and fellow maker @jonathan_gans1 and I began our entrepreneurial journeys, we started by asking ourselves a question: how do we create recurring revenue streams as quickly as possible? Then, after an absurd amount of research, sifting through heaps of blogs and forums on the topic, and talking to thousands of creators, solopreneurs, and doers on Twitter, LinkedIn, niche writing/blogging communities, etc. we realized that many folks were battling similar demons. The experience of starting out as an online creator (being a solopreneur) is rewarding yet brutal - people feel fulfilled in that they are pursuing their dream, however, the problem is that the majority of people do not generate income that is appropriately proportional to the blood, sweat, and tears spilled in getting started on the journey. Here are the main obstacles that emerged from our research and people's feedback: 1. I want to monetize, but I have no idea where to start 2. It takes too long to make a digital product 3. I don't know how to get recurring revenue 4. It's hard for me and my content to get discovered 5. It's hard to meaningfully engage with my audience The combination of our own internal reflections plus the conversations we had with people eventually led us to create Kahana: a place for turning your passion & expertise into income streams. Within the broader Kahana ecosystem, I like to describe The Creator Challenge as Level 0. If you've ever played video games like Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, Skyrim, or Assassin's Creed - it's like that first part of the game where you're talking to villagers in your hometown, picking up items, and prepping for your epic journey. That's right - when you accept this Challenge, you'll be completing some mini-quests and collecting 9 crystals and multiple other gilded artifacts on your way to creating your income streams 💎 The goal of The Creator Challenge is to help you quickly get from level 0 to 1: while there are many obstacles that we face as creators, I'd argue the most infuriating one is monetization (it makes me angry just thinking about it and typing this comment).
