@jacqvon Kano's first product was a Computer Kit based on the Raspberry Pi launched on Kickstarter. Our mission is to empower beginners of all ages to make, learn and play with technology. This is something we deeply believe in here at Kano. In our first 5 years we launched Computers, Laptops, Cameras, Speakers, Pixels, Screen and Sensors you build and code yourself. Today, on our 5th year, we launched the Harry Potter Kano Coding Kit. And we see this as an extension of this mission. There is an intersect between Kano and Harry Potter. Imagine the Wizarding World where a subset of the world can use magic but the rest of us can't. Our world today is very much the same when it comes to technology. A tiny minority of us are true "Tech Wizards"! But the 99% of us are "muggles". At Kano, we want to give people the power to make technology. And our tools should be simple and fun enough for 6 year old to create with. As our 1s partnership product, we couldn't be happier to work with Warner Bros. and Harry Potter and bring to the world a new magical experience.
We had a joke in our team that customers think we're just waving a magic wand and the code starts to work. And now it is a reality! :)
The idea appears to be tempting, at least for the HP fans. But how useful it really is when it comes to 'teaching' how to code?

Are there plans to also incorporate JavaScript as a primary programming language for this experience? My 10 year old would love this but she's advanced passed Block coding.
I bought the Harry Potter Kano coding kit for my 9yo daughter for Christmas and she loves it. She does wish there were more options to customize avatar.
Pros:Easy to set up. My 9yo can navigate easily. Increases in difficulty at appropriate rate. The Harry Potter theming is done really well.
Cons:Had issues with the wand dropping the bluetooth connection. But Kano customer support was EXCELLENT and replaced the part.
