@isaiahjturner Hey Isaiah! It's pretty straightforward. You pay $50 a month and you can use as much data as you'd like, with speeds up to 5Mbps. You can also cancel at anytime. We keep it as transparent as possible. Anything else we can help clear up?
Any unlimited cellular broadband at a decent rate is a welcome addition to the world. Would be great if this type of service offering with tether was available in an existing cellular product.
Looks awesome. I'm considering this for a several months-long trip next year. From looking at your coverage map, the house I'll be staying in is right at the edge of a coverage zone - literally a few hundred feet from where the green stops. What are the changes I'll have a good signal there? Is my best bet to just try it and return it for a refund if the coverage isn't sufficient?
@tnorthcutt Hey Travis, glad you're digging it. Your upcoming trip sounds like a perfect use case. Ours maps are accurate, but we are dealing with signals here, so there tend to be some unknowns. I would definitely give it a try. You very well may be surprised and have great coverage considering you're that close to the edge. And if it doesn't work out, we do offer a 45 day return window. Best of luck!
@dielawn714 Hey Dylan, you can check coverage on our site here: https://yourkarma.com/coverage. Just type in any places you're looking to check. Zip codes work best.
Any chance you guys are working on a device with more battery capacity? I think the 5 hour battery life is the only thing that I don't really like. Otherwise I would leave this in my bag all the time and use it for my laptop on the go.
@timdorr Hey Tim! The battery should get around 6-8 hours. However, we definitely hear you. Battery life + hardware is a tough problem to solve. We hope to bring along better battery life in the future for sure.
@stevenvanwel - A day late but where is the connection coming from and how secure is it i.e. public wifi bad or home connection secure or somewhere in between?
This is such a cool idea. I particularly like the Refuel payment plan. I would like to have one of these sitting around with several gb pre-purchased that I can then use in situations where I need internet for work etc. Great job guys!
@daveofthefuture@crixlet Love the idea of it never expiring. One question, is the device unlocked? Sometimes I will throw my iPad sim in a hotspot when I don't want to bring my iPad on a trip. Since I'm already paying for that data it would be nice to have the option.
@itsthisjustin Hey Justin, glad you're loving it. You wouldn't be able to use another another SIM at this time. But, maybe consider ditching the iPad SIM and trying out Karma Go for both your iPad and also for WiFi during trips? You might find you like our flexibility+experience better.
@davidkram Yup, that's right. Karma Go is what gives you WiFi and you would need to own one if you were looking for access to our $50/mo option, and also our pay-as-you-go option as well, if that suits you.
@davidkram Hm, we don't have an official one. But! You can use my referral code for $10 off https://yourkarma.com/invite/dave. If you buy your own with Neverstop and then share your code, you'll earn your own credits which get applied to your monthly payment. Share with 5 people who buy and you'll get a month free :)
@cwrichardkim Sure thing. In an effort to keep it short, I'll concentrate on the service. With the Jetpack, the service is more complicated. You'll have to buy a data plan that allows a certain amount of data per month. If you don't use the data by the end of the month, you lose it. So you pay for unused data. If you go over the data allowance, you'll have to pay an overage fee. You may also have to enter a 2yr contract, and if you want to get out of it, you'll pay termination fees. Essentially, it can cost you about $70/mo for 4GB 2yr contract. The Jetpack does offer some more coverage and speeds up to 9Mbps, average 5mbps. Our Karma Go + Neverstop option gives you all the data you want to use for one monthly price, at up to 5Mbps. That's it. No data caps, no contracts, no weird fees. Cancel anytime or switch to our pay-as-you-go option. We're very clear about what we offer and what you will get. I'm sure there is more to compare, but this answer is already long and I think I'm even more confused about the Jetpack now after researching it :)
I have a Karma Go and I totally swear by it. The new unlimited is a cool new offering. I was taking advantage of the half off data specials before and karma has been a total lifesaver. Looking forward to when Karma can carve out deals overseas, as I would love to be able to use it when we visit HQ in Melbourne.
@stevenvanwel - sending a big thank you to you and your remarkable team on a great product and service!
Hey everyone β Neverstop is our next step toward keeping you connected everywhere, all the time. We founded Karma because we were tired of large, faceless companies ruling over the way we got online.
Our mission has always been to get all your devices connected in the most straightforward way possible. The goal is to keep you connected without having to stop and think about how much data youβve used.
Weβre against crappy subscriptions, ones that take advantage of people through clauses buried in the terms and conditions and misleading advertising. We believe a good subscription service takes away limitations and is transparent about its service. Thatβs what weβve built with Neverstop.
Anyone have questions? Ask away.
@tmyknze We'd love to get overseas in the future Tommy. We agree it would be amazing to take abroad. Right now we're working on taking over the states and making the experience here the best possible. Stay tuned!
