The Migration feature allows you to export your passwords from various sources, such as browsers’ password autofill or other password managers, and import them to our Vaults. Like most of KeepSolid’s solutions, the idea behind Passwarden was born from our own pains. First of all, there's the notion that one should always use unique, strong passwords for all their accounts. But then how many of you actually follow this rule? We don’t have time and mental resources to come up with new passwords every time, let alone memorize them all! 🙈
On an unrelated note, how do you usually share with others your personal information, such as passwords, ID, banking info, if need be? Chances are, you use your common everyday messengers / emails for this. Why not - surely they are reliably secured, right? 🤔 Not really. ?makers So, let's say I need a strong password for an account. How exactly do I use Passwarden to generate it, how is it stored, and how to have your app autofill the password once I need it?
@new_user_149a5749e2 Thanks for your questions. It’s really easy to start using our password manager! All you have to do is download Passwarden on your device (or use our web-based application), create a new account, and come up with a Master password. After that, you will have access to all features, including the Password Generator and the Autofill options. You can find more info on our website - www.keepsolid.com/passwarden/help

@keepsolids Thank you. Usually security tools are not welcomed if it is not open source. Commmunity says "security by obscurity is no security at all". Can you share your views?
@wilsonbright We understand your concerns, you'd like to secure your passwords from EVERYONE, even from Passwarden employees. We’ve got you covered! All data encryption in our app happens on the client side, meaning that your information is only ever visible to you and from your profile.
As a maker and a person who was involved in the development of Passwarden I can definitely say that we made this product with maximum security in mind and we are sure that our users will be very happy with it and won't be worried about losing their data. All your passwords are secured on all devices with the possibility to share with other users, this is amazing!
