Collaborate through all phases of the product development process in Kitemaker and keep track of work across Slack, Discord, Figma, and Github. It's still super-fast and has even more hotkeys.
I met this team last year and have watched them continue to develop their platform. Tackling perhaps one of the greatest challenges in our space. Getting cross-functional teams to actually be cross-functional. π
They just launched a completely revamped version with new features and are also in the next YC batch (congrats!).
@percival1 Super! Thanks you so much for hunting us!
Hey ProductHunt π
We've been working hard to redesign Kitemaker to build something that is more than an issue tracker. Now our users tell us that that we've made a faster and more collaborative alternative.
How it works: Kitemaker specifically targets product collaboration between design, engineering, and product management. So the basic elements of Kitemaker are work items, which are collaborative documents, together with a discussion feed. Work items give you a central place to keep discussions and progress on what you are building. The best part is that the work items are integrated with Figma, Github, Slack, and Discord, so no matter where work is done, it can be shared through Kitemaker.
Doing discovery and roadmapping? Not a problem! Set up your backlog board and themed roadmap in Kitemaker. Besides, you can prioritize impact and effort to ensure you are working on the top priorities.
Our refocus has given us plenty of new users, as well as a place in Y-Combinator, so I hope you also find something that resonates.
Please tell us what you think and post any questions you might have!
If you want help onboarding, we'd be happy to help. Kitemaker is different, but as soon as you have your structure, onboarding your team is a breeze.
We have also made a promo code for all ProductHunt users, it'll give you 50% for 12 months. We have a generous freemium model, so feel free to try it out for free (promo expires at the end of the year)
This is Trello for the 2020s - Superhuman performance and deep integrations with the tools we use (Figma, Github and Slack)
Using productivity tools for me is usually a chore, but with Kitemaker the experience is delightful
Kitemaker will please the ones that are shortcut centric.
If you can relate to any of those tools: Vimium, Superhuman, Raycast, Magnet, Alfred than Kitemaker will make you happy.
Kitemaker is incredible. Trello but your fingers never have to leave the keyboard. Jira but you never have to fill out an issue creation form. Super fast and super flexible. Huge fan!
@samseely +1 to what sam said here! we're super happy users of Kitemaker over at Knock. Love the speed and love having a single source of truth over ALL THE THINGS. πππ
@samseely@cjbell_ Thanks guys! Appreciate the kind words. And looking forward to seeing how Knock can help us take our notifications to the next level π
Congrats on the launch! I like the idea behind it. As an engineer working in a big tech company. The back and forth communication is really a big headache. Kitemaker seems a perfect tool to bridge the gap!
Kitemaker is awesome!!! It's lightning fast, super easy to use, intuitive and at the same time scalable. You can be a complete noob like me or a power user and you will love it. I've been pushing hard internally to use it more. Seriously, give it a try!
I tried to download it for PC but Windows Defender tells me it's not safe to download. Can you please fix this issue? I would really love to use your product!
@hificarolina We're working on updating the windows client, so the next version should have all the certificates in order :) Thank you very much for the feedback!
Have seen a lot of products that have tried to do this before and haven't seen anything as compelling as this!
It was also the best sign up onboarding flow ever! Great stuff. Will share more feedback after I spend time on the platform.
@thegostev That sounds interesting, but I'm not entirely sure if I grasp what this means. We don't have an automatic discussion->document feature yet, but discussions are always in the context of a document (a work item, that is).
Would be interesting to understand the use-case for this. Maybe we could have a chat?
@kitemaker sure thing, lets chat via Ln. The point is that, it would add a lot of value if itβs possible to easily create Jira tasks or Confluence docs right from the discussion UI in the chat.
In addition to all the useful integrations, I really like the way Kitemaker deals with roadmap themes.
I used to hack this together in other tools with labels and linked documents, and it inevitably ended in a mess. In Kitemaker I get it out of the box. π₯³
Excited to take a look at this. It'd be awesome if it can replace ClickUp for us -- ClickUp is a super-buggy system hog that needs way too much configuring. Kitemaker looks better put together!
@kitemaker & @ksimons have built a product that combines the speed of Superhuman with the beautiful UI of Asana. Incredible work that helps teams stay aligned and on task--we're happy customers!
We've been using Kitemaker quite extensively during the past month, breaking away from Trello and Monday.com. Kitemaker is by far the best collaboration tool we've used, and now forms an integral part in our dev process. Congrats on the launch!
Awesome work - this is a real next gen product management tool. Coming from the Jira / Confluence combination it's impressive how many powerful features are packed in here without the arcane configuration nightmare I'm used to!
