Be careful. Koan deletes your account, and all your data, without asking you beforehand. I'm having problems with this now.

@mainetti_ I'll reply here since we chatted together over Intercom too. Sorry again for your frustration! You were on an expired paid trial (long before we released this free tier) that had not been accessed or logged into for an entire year. It was previously our policy to very slowly recycle old paid trials, if only to ensure that we follow best practices around data privacy. Now that the free tier is out, we'll approach this a bit differently, though we'll also recycle abandoned instances eventually. We agree that it's a best practice to send explicit email notifications for free products before deleting abandoned data! :-D

At my last job at New Relic, we used Koan to manage the entire product org's OKRs and status reports. It was an awesome way to link individual team projects up to strategic corporate goals. It worked really well for us, I think in large part because of the thoughtful UX the Koan team has invested in, especially compared to similar products out there, which often feel really sterile.
So I'm really happy to see them embrace a freemium model so that more organizations can get started being more reflective and more organized in their strategic thinking. Woo hoo!
