Kosy is a virtual space for remote teams to work and hang out in. Use spatial video-chat to get in and out of conversations naturally, customise your space to make it feel like yours and make spending time with your remote team fun & productive!

There is no better time to launch virtual space ever! To be honest I can't wait to spend meeting sitting on that adorable duck!
Teri Baines
@anastasiia_chumak I’m with you Anastasia, duckie is also one of my favourite seats 🦆. P.S - if you also like unicorns you’re in for a treat 🦄

It's curious how no one mentioned https://www.gather.town/ How do you differentiate from them? Kosy seems les "geeky" from what I've seen

I’m excited about this new type of service, but how does Kosy differ from existing ones? ?makers
Henri St-Pierre
hi @anna_0x ! great topic. There are indeed a few virtual spaces that have launched in the last year-ish each with a unique experience. The problem we are all trying to tackle is massive: remote teams need a better way to interact and build camaraderie and there needs to be a better solution than jumping between Zoom & Slack. What we heard from speaking with many users is that given how big of a portion a virtual office takes within ones work day, the user experience needs to work with how they work and culture. Some teams prefer more gamified online experiences while other teams prefer more productive tools / desktop apps. Back when we started Kosy we were focused too heavily on the productivity side of the spectrum, offering one-click chats and breakout rooms. Now, based on feedback we’ve been receiving, we are balancing fun with productivity which so far we have gotten very positive feedback on. Would love for you to try it out and let us know what you think 😊

@henri_st_pierre nice, is there a way to invite external collaborators, e.g. clients, without requiring them to create an account and log in?
Alec Kunkel
A really nice in between where we are now and the inevitable metaverse. Congrats on the launch and number one on Product Hunt 🎉
Teri Baines
@iamkunkel thanks Alec ❤️ We love to hear it
Elie Steinbock
Looks amazing. What are the next features you plan on releasing?
Henri St-Pierre
@eliezer_steinbock1 Thanks Ellie! We are currently working on building more interactive experiences on the floor (e.g., an announcement wall, co-working team rooms with music, customisable avatars). We are also planning more app and workflow integrations as well as UX updates (improved chat, people search). Is there anything you'd suggest?
Vladimir Khrinenko
Great job! Congratulation!
Teri Baines
@vladimir_hrinenko thanks Vladimir. We’re super pleased with it too ❤️

I see lots of these types of products popping up. I wonder how they are differentiated?
Henri St-Pierre
@john_faig good question - you are right there have been several similar products that have launched recently. Spatial audio is becoming a new standard way of chatting. We're working on striking a right balance between playful and productive that we think will appeal to a majority of teams, but each team is unique and may prefer an alternative. We also believe the winners in this space will be those that succeed at building the right workflow integrations. Kosy is more than an event space - we have to deliver value at the individual and day-to-day level as well.
John Faig
@henri_st_pierre 100%. Workflow and collaboration techniques/tools will be differentiators. Vertical market extensions will also help. For example, the K12 use case requires more group management and more granular privileges than higher education or working professionals.

Michael Marra
Congrats, this is cool.. what's the different from kumospace?
Henri St-Pierre
@michaelwmarra hi Michael - kumospace looks great as well! Their interactive objects are unique. A few others above asked about differentiation and I mentioned how this space is massive and new so we are just getting started. Spatial audio is becoming a new standard way of communicating. Each of the products similar to Kosy has a unique angle to their experience - we believe we strike the right balance between productive and fun. For example, we are prioritising workflow integrations and apps quite heavily. Our Miro and Google Suite integration has been quite well regarded by our users.
Florian Huber
This looks great!
Yanis Mellata
@florianhuber Thanks for the kind words Florian!!!
Ken Peltzer
Congrats on the launch! Great product. Would be interesting to think of some kind of native desktop app down the line in order to do more seamless silent/active transitions (like in the menu bar or keyboard shortcuts for example).
Teri Baines
@kenpeltzer hey Ken. Thanks for the kind words ❤️. Desktop app and keyboard commands are definitely something we’re discussing 🔥🔥
