Kraftful — Delightful mobile apps for the smart home

Hi Product Hunt! 👋 We’re former IFTTT product and engineering leads, taking what we’ve learned from the home automation space to craft the best user experiences for the smart home. We love smart home products, but almost daily we came across terrible apps that were difficult to use. Why are smart home apps so bad? We kept hearing from smart home companies that hardware is hard so their mobile apps get fewer internal resources. As a result, a lot of their apps are not as user-friendly as they should be. These apps often get poor ratings–even for super popular devices! The Nest app only has 2 stars in the App Store, which shouldn’t surprise those of you who are Nest users. Stars are just stars, but they indicate that many users won’t engage with the digital experience and have no incentive to purchase additional devices or recommend them to their friends and family.
