My cousin and I really needed a platform to help us manage and organise our highlights made on our Kindle, so we decided to create a free tool which did just this. This platform is currently the only option with such vast features for free of charge, we also provide a paid option to unlock even more, however the free version provides the fundamentals. This was important as we wanted to be able to provide the essentials for the upkeeping of your digital library without having to worry about a fee, and that's exactly what we've done.
@ricardo_luz of course. Currently we have developed two main options: Exporting highlights via Notion and exporting as a CSV file.
Notion is a popular tool, and we understand the simplicity of having everything under one platform, so we decided to make it easy to export to. Notion also provides collaborative workspaces, so you can share and collaborate on the highlights you’ve made, which has many real world use cases, such as digital book clubs, academic study groups, research collaboration etc.
The CSV option is useful for users who want to work with their highlights in a tabular format. They can perform data analysis, create reports, or simply have a structured snapshot of their highlights at that point in time.
In addition to these two export options, we are planning on adding an option to export to Anki, this would allow the user to create decks from particular quotes they wish to remember, and leverage it's spaced repetition functionality.
If you have any other ideas for export options, we’d greatly appreciate the suggestions.
Hi there,
Congratulations on your launch!
This idea seems really cool. I'm interested in gaining more insight into how the process of transferring books and highlights from the Kindle to your platform works. Is there a requirement for any form of connection, whether physical or via WiFi?
Thank you for your response ;)
