LLN is a chrome extension that gives you superpowers over Netflix.

It makes studying languages with films/series more effective and enjoyable.

Awesome stuff! Trying to learn norwegian now and have actually learned a lot by just reading subtitles with english test. Next step though is my listening comprehension. However. I am getting some errors with Norwegain as the extension is not working....

Awesome, would love to add words to lists to study them later or on the go. Any plans to implement this? πŸ˜‰

What more do you need to know?

Pros:

I like the name.

Cons:

The name is too long.

One problem I had learning Spanish was that subtitles didn’t always match what was being said, how do you source the text to display?

Can this be implemented with Youtube? Netflix is paid service. 😟

I love Netflix. Before this, I used to use apps like cinema hd: https://cinemahdapk.com or showbox to watch foreign language movies or TV shows to learn their language. But now netflix got the best quality videos with high quality sound

Learning a language with TV shows and movies - is definately the best way to learn (proven by scientific researches ;)) We, in Lingopie, totally agree with that and support the method! That's the essence of Lingopie https://lingopie.com BUT Lingopie's learning method has much more! You not only watch great TV shows and movies with doubled and clickable subtitles. You also save words, review flashcards and pass quizzes on them. Much more effective and entertaining learning.

I'm addicted to this app - totally badass! Two features I would like are (1) to be able to save phrases/groups of words that I select; and (2) to be able to review the learned words as flashcards. These would be nice additions, though not entirely necessary. It's a powerful app even as it stands now.

I love this. would love a similar app to use on an iPad where I watch most netflilx. But that would require hijacking their app... probly not going to happen. are there any other apps that are similar?

Brilliant! Would love to be able to review words I'm currently learning. I also feel the price point for the Pro plan is fair, but a longer free trial period would help me decide. I'd be interested in learning more about your localization process!
