I LOVE this website. I have tried literally every single bookmarking/curation tool out there (I am obsessed with finding the best one) and I can tell you this one beats them all for me.

Pros:

BEST custom filter and labels/tags, making lists, modern interface, good search query

Cons:

None

I would love to get more feedback and questions from you in the community. Here are a few things to consider. 1) Lasso supports an integration with Slack. We are an approved Slack app. 2) Our mobiles apps are coming in the new few weeks. 3) Lasso wants to be the safe place that people save the resources most important to them. You shouldn't have to have 50 browser tabs open at all times.
Kaitlyn Hanrahan
@aaron_sperling "safe place" This looks amazing. But I've been burned by 3rd party bookmarking tools before. How can I know that I won't lose the knowledge that I put into this tool? Is there really nice exporting or an option to also bookmark the links?
Aaron Sperling
@kaitlynhanrahan I understand. We will soon have both import and export of saved items. What do you mean by bookmark the links? We have a browser extension and a plus button within the application to save links.
Kaitlyn Hanrahan
@aaron_sperling cool. I guess I meant if I could set it up to also add each link to my browser's bookmarks under a lasso folder when I add a link to lasso. Just some type of duplication. And for me, bookmarks are what I do now, so bookmarks would be ideal. But a nice exporting feature satisfies my fear that I could put effort into adding knowledge into this tool and then it disappear.
Aaron Sperling
@kaitlynhanrahan Interesting. We have that kind of capabilities with Slack. You can link a Lasso team to a Slack account. Lasso collections are created for each slack channel. Links are synchronized as added to Lasso or Slack. Unfortunately browser bookmarks don't support that. Though, you can add a link to a Lasso collection to your browser bookmarks.

@aaron_sperling Hey so when trying to sign up with Google (I use G suite) I'm told "Login was not successful. Google email does not exists." and when trying to sign up with email I'm told "Invalid email address entered". My email is kaitlyn@simply.digital -- I think you guys are using an outdated function to validate email addresses :(
Nitin Bajaj
Not much into content marketing but i see the pain you guys are solving. Will also bounce it off to few friends who are actively doing content writing. P.S: I am sure you guys are tracking companies actively hiring for content writers as they are the ones who are anyways spending money on content and most likely be keen on adopting it in their process. Have few more thoughts around it, all the best :)
Aaron Sperling
@nitinbajaj1423 Thanks. That would be great. Yes, we have some content writers as active users and plan to demonstrate our value proposition to more of them.
Nitin Bajaj
@aaron_sperling great lets switch to email then and take this forward. whats ur email id, will send my thoughts in detail .

@nitinbajaj1423 sounds good. asperlingbiz @ gmail

Hi fellas and Bravo! Lasso looks amazing! Great job and I think you've come up with a killer approach! You feel my pain. I have to get this. Anyone bookmarking good content will be able to leverage it much better. #contentmarketing #research #writing
devahaz
have been checking this out in beta. Lasso is especially impressive for saving groups of content that you want to compare with each other.
Aaron Sperling
@devahaz Thanks. Lasso supports several ways to view your collections including a spreadsheet view. In this view, you can compare and even update your saved content.

Oh yeah ! I'm gathering 3 years informations, bookmarks and links in my notebook app ! Lasso is the tool i was looking for since few days !!! Thank you !!!
Aaron Sperling
@chri6fx Terrific. Let us know how we can make the service better.

Here is an example of one of the layout options when you publish a collection. https://www.lasso.net/go/link/df...

@aaron_sperling at first sight, this looks like a resource I have been wanting for years. I have signed up. A few questions: 1) will you be coming out with the ability to bookmark from Mobile (or android / iphone apps)? 2) Is there any plan to enable you to highlight or annotate articles that are saved?
Aaron Sperling
@bryce_huschka Thanks for question. I didn't get alerted to your comment. We plan to launch our mobile apps later this month. You can currently add notes to any item that you save to Lasso. We don't currently offer the ability to highlight but that is on the road map.
Ali Siam
How does this compare to Pocket?
Cyril Moutran
@ali_siam You can organize the bookmarks on multiple "boards" (this more Pinterest of Feedly Team, than Pocket), and Lasso tagging system is more advanced (tags can have types, and can be use to do things like product comparison dashboards). It's a cool product!
Ali Siam
@mocy thats pretty cool. I'm going give it a try because recently all media links are in our slack DM's and its a pain in the arse to find them and such. Have only used Pocket for articles and such but will check out Lasso. Not sure if pocket even has team collaboration, which is key.
Doug Ramsay
@ali_siam Definitely, the Slack use case is a great one. It's so easy for all those shared links to get lost in Channels, so it's nice to have one spot to look for them.
Goulven Baron
?hello, is it possible to import csv or html with multiple links ? did yout tool detect duplicate link in a team ? Thanks !
Jon
I really like what I have seen to date. Would the creators consider adding a sales funnel visualization?

Congratulations Aaron on the launch. I've been using (or attempting to use) Dropmark for a while now, but will try out Lasso soon. I think the biggest issue with content gathering, sharing is - out of sight, out of mind. The nut to crack is to make the app so integral to people's daily routine that they use it as their go to reference app for knowledge that they've accumulated so far. The personalization, quality and speed of Google search makes most of the bookmarking apps moot. Now if you can automate the curation, categorization of my knowledge based on the sites I visit - that'd be the killer app :)
Aaron Sperling
@ketankotak Thanks Ketan. I think your point about Google search is true for lots of content. I believe curation can make discovered content more valuable if saved content is annotated with a summary and/or meaningful tags. It will also be more easily re-discovered if annotated or saved in a meaningful collection. Plus, curated content can be shared with your family, co-workers, and/or followers. Google search doesn't enable you to share collections of content with your communities. Please share your thoughts as you try the service. The service supports tags and attribute tags. Attribute tags have a label and associated value. This allows me to add a tag like "location: athens", "location: nyc" and then find and/or filter by location. Coming soon : we will start sending recommendations and reminders of content that you saved.
