Launcher was one of the first apps to take advantage of widgets and use Notification Center as a way to quickly launch apps and make calls with one tap. Apple removed the app a week after it was approved causing a bit of drama. Looks like they've reversed their decision. It's good to see Apple relaxing their policies.
@Viticci wrote more about it here on MacStories.
Hi guys,
Wow, Launcher made Product Hunt. This is exciting. Since it just launched, I am buried in support emails at the moment, but I will try my best to respond to any questions here as well.
As for the backstory on Launcher and its revival, I think Federico's article listed above covers it pretty well. The only quibble with that article is that it makes it sound like Apple contacted me when they changed their mind, but that is not the case. I kept submitting apps and went through the appeal process several times before I finally was able to get them to re-review Launcher which they finally decided to approve. I think the Techcrunch article does a better job explaining that particular part of the story:

Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks.
