Big fan of this team, and I love the new product... I totally think of a dude named Larry when I think of who to ask for legal counsel.
Awesome service! How do you plan to monetize? Are there any legal requirements with giving legal advice over SMS?
Great question @matthewberman. We charge a small subscription fee for participating lawyers. What we're learning is it's difficult to give full blown legal advice over text due to the character limitation, so instead we're focusing on answering your general questions and we'll either schedule you a complimentary consultation with a lawyer, send you a fixed fee price quote, and/or help you you find the appropriate legal documentation. larry is integrated with LawTrades.com which provides a seamless framework for startups and lawyers to work with each other online.

Hey @benhoffman_ , so larry does not render legal services or give legal advice or participate in representing individuals/business. In other words, larry is not a law firm :) We're an SMS platform that makes it faster, easier, and more affordable to find and hire legal services. It's powered by 100's of lawyers on the @lawtrades platform.
We're all law school grads so the mission has always been making legal more accessible and transparent for people.
