Hello, world_ 👋🏻 Meet Layer! Our team has worked SUPER hard to get the product to launch. 🧠 Why We Built Layer In a world filled with productivity tools like Notion, Trello, Asana, and XMind, we felt something was missing—a tool that not only organizes tasks but does so visually and intuitively, aligning with our natural thought processes. We wanted to create a platform where you can: 💚Quickly Create Visual Roadmaps → Build visual tree structures of your projects and goals in just a few clicks, helping you see the big picture at a glance. 💚Split Up Large Projects → Use focus mode to divide large projects into manageable steps, so you know exactly what to tackle each day. ✅ Key Features ✔️ Visual Mind Map Trees: Organize your tasks intuitively with mind map trees that make planning more natural and engaging. ✔️ Brain-Inspired Visual Connections: Save time and enhance understanding with visuals that reflect how your brain connects ideas. ✔️ Stay Goal-Focused: Keep your objectives front and center through clear visualization, helping you focus on what truly matters. ✔️ Focus Mode: Tackle big projects by honing in on individual branches without losing sight of the overall plan. ✔️ Easy Delegation: Simplify teamwork by sharing branches with your team, making collaboration effortless. 💡 Our Planned Innovations AI-Powered Planning Gamification Elements Web3 Tokenomics Mobile App What's Next? We're thrilled to share Layer with the Product Hunt community first. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we're eager to hear your thoughts to make Layer even better. 🎁 Join Us on This Journey Be among the first to experience Layer! Sign up for early access and start transforming the way you plan and achieve your goals. – Let's build the future of productivity together. Cheers, Vit

@vit_aver congrats on this launch, exciting times ahead!
Jan
@vit_aver This is a great solution with potential! The approach to productivity you've created resonates with me as someone who is a big on visuals. Congratulations on launching Layer!
CY Zhou
@vit_aver Congrats on the launch! I am a "second brain" believer. Quick question: the tasks in our head are certainly not in a tree structure, more like a graph. Do we lose key information that matters when map to a tree?
Vitaly Aver
@mogabr We have incredibly ambitious plans, and Product Hunt has inspired us to keep bringing them to life! ✨ Thank you all for your support, friends! 🤝 This has been an incredible journey packed into one day! 🏆
Vitaly Aver
@jan_ber Thank you, but I clearly understand that there is also a serious challenge in the good implementation of such an idea. No wonder the "big players" do not make such a visual style. So far, our idea is the core around which the project is being built. And we will try to do the best we can!
Business Marketing with Nika
IMO, this can get attention of many people (also thanks to pricing availability, as well as familiar UI to FigJam – I think that UI is pretty clear) :) Support this idea!
Vitaly Aver
@busmark_w_nika It's very unusual, I have to write so many answers at once that my 🧠brain explodes! I reread my answers and think, who is this person! ❤️Thanks for the support! Yes, Figma Jam is our target prototype, only we will strongly develop visual design with an exit to task statuses. And our goal is to create the most "lazy" system. In which it does everything itself and you only choose options! And we need ambassadors and advisers - let's be friends)

Love the visual aspects and the plans. Congrats on the launch! This seems like a fantastic tool. Good luck to the Layer Team!
Vitaly Aver
@millisen We have it drawn even more beautifully in the design, but we can't fully implement the Front-end yet - at later stages of the project we will be able to implement it even more beautifully! Thank you!
Anton Sutarmin
👏 Very nice, congrats on the launch! Where’s my data stored? Hope it’s not in some random server basement 😄
Nastya Novichikhina
@antonsutarmin Nah, no shady basements here. Your data’s chillin’ in secure, top-tier cloud servers that meet all the fancy international security standards
Vitaly Aver
@antonsutarmin By geo in the US in a very famous dada-center. But the Layer also allows you to export everything to your PC. Did you manage to use the keyboard to create block tasks like a cannonball?

@vit_aver Hi Vitaly and the Layer team, congratulations for your launch! Layer seems super useful to project managers and team leaders. Curious to know, is it possible to create notes on the board not only for blocks, but also for the board as a whole? Thanks!
Nastya Novichikhina
@vit_aver @elaineluyi Yes, Layer allows you to add notes or comments at the board level, providing context or instructions for the entire project 🙌
Vitaly Aver
@elaineluyi 👋 Hi and thanks! I wrote down this idea, there really is no such functionality now! But this really needs to be implemented!
Alexander Farr
Congrats on your launch! I love your tagline of being inspired by how the brain works. I am curious - what are the main ways you have incorporated that next to the mind-map like branching of points?
Vitaly Aver
@alexanderfarr In general, the idea of the organization arose at the moment when I was managing the launch of three IT products. And my brain was literally boiling. We are planning to implement many tools for visually balancing the map with their release into tasks. You can now try clicking on the 3rd icon at the top left - inside the board with blocks. If you have blocks with the status "today" then the layer will delete everything and put only them on the boards. Perhaps I answered very confusingly? )))))

Is Layer compliant with privacy laws? Like GDPR and stuff?
Milad Ranaei
@boris_moris44 Oh, totally. We’re fully GDPR-compliant and respect all the other fancy privacy laws. You can trust us with your data—it’s safe and sound
Davis Nunez
First thing first, Congrats on the launch 🚀 The features you've created are 60% of the reason why I use Miro, this seems to be more focused on the mind maps and making the most out of them. In comparison to Miro's Mind Maps, how does your product stands out?
Milad Ranaei
@davisnz Oh, I totally get why Miro’s awesome—it’s great for brainstorming and whiteboarding. But Layer takes mind maps and gives them a whole new level of purpose. While Miro’s more freeform, Layer’s designed to connect your ideas directly to actionable tasks and long-term goals. You’re not just throwing ideas on a board; you’re building a system that helps you organize, prioritize, and execute. Layer’s focus mode is another standout—it lets you zoom in on just one section of your mind map so you can concentrate without distractions. Plus, the AI assistant helps you streamline projects and even suggests ways to organize your work better. It’s all about turning those creative brainstorms into real results. And let’s not forget—Layer’s got gamification too, so productivity actually feels fun. So yeah, if you love the creative side of Miro but want something more structured and goal-oriented, Layer’s your tool.

Hey Vitaly! It looks like you're changing the task management game and I hope every founder can take the most of it, cause you're doing an impressive job there. Wish you all the best!
Akash Shrivastava
Loving the product demo! I personally have to have it visual and it's great to see a product that has gone above and beyond in project management to take the time to make it easy to get a 10,000ft view. The UI is smooth and beautifully made, what's the tech behind your frontend?
Milad Ranaei
@akashs Thanks for your support, Akash! Layer is powered by our proprietary Sync Engine, which uses socket technology to enable real-time synchronization between users and the database. This ensures seamless, instant updates across devices, providing a smooth and collaborative mind-mapping experience. Our frontend is built to leverage this engine, optimizing performance and responsiveness for dynamic interactions.
Angad Singh
Very cool @vit_aver, will definitely try this out! Always wanted a second brain tool. I used to use Notion database to organise this for myself. On Notion, i could set deadlines and configure formulas to bring up priority tasks at the top of my database. Wondering if Layers can do the same? Also, does it offer a timeline view?
Vitaly Aver
@angadsingh059 You've hit the nail on the head! In our roadmap, we want to create "number" statuses for blocks, and then they'll be able to stack values. But not all at once. I'm also very inspired by the Notion product - and partly a fan of it. But - when a project gets big, it's very difficult to share it with the team, and someone might break something! Another problem with N - for us was the price when we grew a little. We understand their problems today - funds are really putting pressure on us to make the subscription price high. And we want to ideologically make a super-affordable product. Maybe the Product Hunt community will tell us what's best!
Vitaly Aver
@angadsingh059 In short: we’re working on adding formula blocks (that’s a definite), and a timeline feature is on the horizon too. The challenge lies in handling nested trees effectively—we’ve got ideas but need a passionate UX pro on the team to bring it to life!
Evelyn Kumsah
Congrats on your launch 🚀 This product sounds like a game changer for productivity! I am excited to see how it helps streamline workflows and life organization!
Vitaly Aver
@evelyn_kumsah Thanks Evelyn! I think it will depend on how seriously and how long my team and I will work! Because in reality there are not many products in this segment! We will be glad to have functional feedback - what would you like to see in a product for personal efficiency? Let's do it!
Charlotte Schmitt
Interesting roadmap visualization - seems a lot more flexible than the standard tools. Congrats on the launch team Layer.
Milad Ranaei
@charlotteschmitt Thanks for your support! Yes!! We are very glad that you liked our roadmap visualization
Bilal Asif
Well done on the launch, can i delete my data if i stop using layer?
Milad Ranaei
@bilalasif Absolutely. You have full control over your data, and you can delete it anytime through your account settings. We respect your privacy and make it easy to take your information with you if needed.
Raiane Rezende
“natural thought processes” is really key here. I was asking myself how different it would be from other organization tools, but being able to visualize tasks in a more natural way is truly interesting. Thank you for your hard work and congrats on the launch! 🎉
Vitaly Aver
@rai_rezende Nice to hear, thank you! The perfect implementation of the solution is still far away - but we are working hard :) And what tools are you using at the moment?
Guillermo Bascuñana
Interesting concept, as a messy person trying to keep some order on my projects this might be a great alternative
Vitaly Aver
@guillermo_bascunana Thanks for the feedback! Try the free version and be sure to give us feedback! After today, we will change a lot in it and add many functions from the paid version!
Gaurav Singh Bisen
Congratulations on the launch. Does Layer also provide notifications on due date?
Nastya Novichikhina
@thepmfguy Thank you! Yes, Layer offers notifications for task due dates, helping you stay on top of your deadlines
Rohan Chaubey
Congrats Vitaly :) I was actually looking for something like this. How much does this cost?
Milad Ranaei
@rohanrecommends Good news—there’s a free plan that’s packed with features! You can create maps, share ‘em, and even collaborate. If you want the fancy stuff like AI and integrations, Pro plans start at less than your monthly coffee budget ($7.99). There is a super sale now and you can purchase a plan for $3.99

i prefer tasks as cards and not a blockchain. and why should i use this instead of miro, give me 7 reasons
Vitaly Aver
@maxcompe 1. Layer is faster - in Miro you draw, in Layer you type! 2. In Miro you need then transfer it to tasks, in Layer blocks are already tasks! 3. We will also have Kanban view in the next updates (in Miro it will never be - you have to draw it yourself)! 4. If you are a successful manager, then in the future you will expand your team and Miro will become an expensive solution! 5. In Layer, the map structure makes you move towards the goal, and in Miro you draw as you want, and lose focus! 6. Layer will work on the W3 system and motivate you with real rewards for teamwork, in Miro this will never happen! 7. ❤️❤️❤️ Miro is a billion-dollar company where you will never talk to the founder and he will hear you and make the features you want. And I can not only listen, but also treat you to a beer if you help find a bug or suggest a feature.
Vitaly Aver
@maxcompe My team and I have unanimously decided that you are the absolute winner in the “Question of the Day” category because you asked the most interesting question that made us think deeply.
