Love the team at Leon! Very excited to hear about their PH launch.
Doing great things for employee wellness. Excited to be on the sidelines cheering y'all along.
This is something that just needed to exist.
The employee wellness space is full of fluffy tools that are just convenient ways for HR leaders to be able to spend budget to push an initiative to feel like they're making a difference and responding to their peoples' needs, meanwhile they don't move the needle at all.
Every person, and team in an organization is unique, and there are very few solutions that can cater to that. I like that this is rooted in the science of performance and that as a manager you get actionable playbooks that are practical to implement.
You guys are doing a great job bringing a refreshing, light-hearted tone to topics like employee burnout and mental health without downplaying their importance.
A lot of the rhetoric and advice out there misses the mark because it's often presented in a stuffy, finger-wagging tone that doesn't really resonate with high-growth companies, managers or their teams.
Well done, LEON team, I'll be rooting for you guys.
In the past two years the world has changed. LEON has really figured out the model and figured out the most challenging issue facing growth companies in a world where engagement is the biggest challenge.
Hey @bryan_smith5 I'm one of the founders over here at LEON!
LEON is building humankind’s healthiest and happiest generation of employees with the planet’s first-ever wellness intelligence platform.
Our big hairy audacious goal is to super-power the people and managers inside of companies rather than companies themselves.
Not because we don’t care about the companies but because if we focus on improving the humans inside of them, the companies will naturally become better as a side-effect.
❤️ How LEON Powers Managers And Builds Coaches:
We collect a combination of survey and integration data, historical (and benchmarked) user information, and engagement metrics to understand the individual employee’s feelings, perspectives, and opinions about themselves, their work, and their place of work.
From there, our algorithm recommends a combination of tried and true “playbooks” that are quantified to drive well-being and performance across the board in real-time! From when and which team to implement a four-day workweek with, to real-time strategies to improve team resiliency and grit, no stone has been left unturned.
In short, we're using a mixture of Sports Science voodoo, SaaS-driven integrations, and surveys to recommend the exact playbook to either support or challenge your team before the whole god damn place burns down.
p.s. We built LEON for managers, and not HR. Why? Because a company is only as good as its managers and this is why LEON exists: to transform managers into world-class coaches.
First things first: that video is absolute fire and needs to be preserved.
Love:
- The flat rate, makes sense and scales nicely :)
- Focus on managers = nailed it
Dislike:
- The dog at the end. Just kidding, that was my fav part!
@wilhelmr Thank you! All props on that video go to @teijabean ! And in regards to pricing, we went back and forth a ton on it, but part of our brand mission is to be brutally open and honest about the problem we solve and how we do business. And with that mission in mind, simple, flat rate pricing just made sense.
@benoit_chambon Understanding team performance and knowing when to act is the secret sauce to healthy high-performing teams. Thanks so much for the support!
Hey, @Kellen_casebeer here - thanks for showin' some love!
We all have spent a lot of time trying to nail the "super power people inside of companies" thing and think we have it down to a science...
It goes a little something like this:
Stress has been demonized unfairly; we need stress to help us improve. Without it, we atrophy.
But how much? When? What kind? Why?
Currently, we rely on managers (like Amanda in accounting or Dave the shift lead **shudders**) to know this all intuitively, and you know what that got us?
Mental health issues, burnout, low happiness, poor alignment, poor results, and an environment where 85% of employees essentially hate their jobs.
That's not ok.
So LEON gives those managers the data, playbooks, and coaching cues they need to develop high performing teams with low turnover.
We do that across 6 metrics: happiness, burnout, grit, adaptability, inclusion and alignment,
We aggregate that data, anonymize it, roll it up to managers, and trigger cues for them off it.
This results in positive stress adaptations (stress signal + proper recovery = super-compensation aka increase your capacity as a person.).
So come take a peak - and if you need anything reach out to me kellen@myleon.co I am happy to chat or demo any time :)
Cheers everyone!
That is a really powerfull sentence: "Because a company is only as good as its managers and this is why LEON exists: to transform managers into world-class coaches."
I am curios how this product can help us <3
**We’re super-powering the companies your ex-talent told you not to worry about.**
Hi. I’m @teijabean - Creative Director at LEON.
A little while back, the team at LEON noticed that while the wifi is getting quicker and the cloud storage is getting bigger and the video conferencing is getting crisper, there is one aspect of business that’s as dated as a wicker rocking chair...
How companies (and more specifically managers) manage talent.
Traditionally, the manager-employee relationship goes a little something like this...
Manager hires an employee to do a job.
Manager micromanages every aspect of the way that employee is doing said job.
Manager “evaluates” the employee once a year… for an hour... where in that hour they’re expected to hole-up and lift the spirits of an individual that’s experienced an entire year’s worth of tight deadlines, unexpected catastrophes, pain-in-the-you-know-what clients, burn-out and so on.
One day, the employee walks into the manager’s office waves sayonara and heads down the street to a company that has built better managers.
And the old managers are left scratching their heads wondering what went wrong.
We’ll let you in on a little secret...
Super-powering talent and keeping that super-powered talent around and at your company has nothing to do with the executive team nor the culture nor the kombucha on tap...
A company is only as good as its managers and this is why LEON exists: to transform managers into world-class coaches.
Here’s how LEON is approaching topics like employee happiness, well-being, performance and, yes, culture...
🔥 We’re catching burnout early.
Burnout is like a forest fire. The earlier you catch it the better. LEON tells you which employees are trending towards (or are currently in) burnout, and then we provide a damn good fix... backed by science, data and a whole lot of empathy.
🤷🏽♂️ We’re removing the guesswork.
When you’re trying to grow your startup at a breakneck pace, it’s hard to look over your shoulder to make sure your employees are keeping up.
With LEON, we watch the backseat so you can keep your eyes on the road, gunning for the horizon. You can quickly see the overall performance trends of your team and understand how you stack up against companies in your industry.
🤖 We’re providing performance management at scale.
Playbooks turn managing employee well-being into a fully autonomous, AI-driven T-1000 (but nice). You just answer a few questions each week, and our algorithm kicks in. From when to implement a four-day workweek, to how to improve equity and inclusion at your team, no stone has been left unturned. Think: Sun Tzu’s Art of War but for managers.

Hey @braedon_leslie, intern extraordinaire at LEON ;)
Since the day I came across LEON's messaging some 10 or 11 months ago, and since the day I got to start sharing the message of LEON myself, I can honestly say this has been one of the most exciting journeys of my life.
What an amazing product.
What an amazing team.
What an amazing mission.
Oh, and the cool thing is we're just getting started. The roadmap for this product is out of this world.
Bunch, W. (2017, March 10) said it best, “the solution is…more data, collected more frequently, and then put to better use with the help of modern high-tech analytics" aka LEON (plus a few other cool tricks up our sleeve).
The world of work needs to take better care of its people. Managers need all the help they can get to make that necessary dream a reality. LEON is here to help.
Check it out.
