Meet your push-ad-free, AI-powered research assistant! Every day we are met with an overwhelming choice of products and information. Liffery is your quiet space to capture, consider, collaborate and decide.
Hi everyone,
🚀We're excited to be launching Liffery on Product Hunt today and we need YOU to be a part of our journey!🌟
We are bringing a wave of transformation to advertising, product research, and community inspiration... here is how:
1️⃣ Unbiased Research: Most businesses focus on raising awareness and selling their products... we focus on the consideration and the research of all purchase journeys! We're obsessed with helping you make your best purchase decisions, free from biased influence. Explore our unique research platform where your needs come first. 🤝💡
2️⃣ Community Inspiration: Searching for products shouldn't be a pain! At Liffery we wanted to craft a space where research is shared, and inspiration thrives. Connect with friends and family or tap into our collective pool of knowledge of Liffery's wider community, making your quest for the perfect find a breeze! 🌟🌈
3️⃣ (COMING SOON) Turning Push into Pull-Advertising: We're flipping the script by letting YOU pull ads when you want. Instead of being bombarded by ads you didn’t ask to see we think you should be able to search for new products (ads) when you are in research mode. We want you to target the ads and not the other way around!
Special Thanks to @benln who saw our product and hunted us on here today!
We're so excited to finally be saying our 1st public hello to the world. If you would like to read or listen to our journey of how we arrived here today, you can find it over at https://www.liffery.com/liffery/...
I might be biased being a developer here, but Liffery is genuinely really useful. I use it all the time. For instance my wife and I needed a new bed recently as our old one broke. We created a channel for new beds and each placed a bunch of options into it. Then, using the decision maker (a feature in Liffery where you can rate the items in a channel by swiping left and right), we swiped through all the beds we'd entered in the channel honing the selection down to a top few that we both like. We discussed the top options in more detail (budget, size, colour etc) and settled on one which we then bought. That whole process from research to assessment to purchase was so much easier. And more fun. So yeah, I obviously want Liffery to succeed because I work here, but I also want it to succeed because, damn it, it's just a really useful tool and I don't want it to disappear! 😃
@benln you launched us... but... do you think you would want to complete our very short Google survey?
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/...
We would love to hear your feedback...
Congrats Janine & John on your launch! Really love your website - seems you put a lot of work into it. I would recommend you have a chat widget on your website to give users the ability to instantly ask a question.
Seems like magic 😅, it also sounds too good to be true! Signed up!
P.S. on the sign-up form, it says "Coming Soon" under the Google login, but it's working 👀
Hi @irina_haupt thank you for your question. So at the moment, we make items available for anyone to explore in the explore tab. The items are anonymised, so nobody feels like they are being used as unpaid influencers to a brand or product. In the future we want to highlight particularly active channels and we are also working on a reward system, so if you find very inspiring and great products particularly often you will be rewarded for it. Does that answer your question?
Looks awesome!! Congrats on the launch. I love the tagline capture and consider haha - curious what have you seen the early users using it for the most so far??
@clay_raterman Thank you! Use cases are very diverse, but collecting furniture ideas is very popular and also families with small children like to gather all their ideas on the platform.
Congrats on the launch Janine and John! It is exciting to see how you have utilised AI for add-free product research. Also, great UX on the landing page :) Keep up the great work!
@kostandinangjellari we use AI right now behind the scenes, search, price watching and a few others, but, we will AI to the forefront in an upcoming release. I don't want to reveal too much as it is still a work in progress, but AI + product research is the topic...
Watch this space :)
Thanks for the support and feedback!
By the way, we created a public channel in Liffery: https://www.liffery.com/channel/...
We are using this to collect ideas for Liffery from the community and the Decision Score feature to help us decide the future directions of Liffery features.
Congrats on your launch, Janine and John. You really put a lot of thought into your website's UI and UX, for sure.
I loved the user journey and little customer persona you have on your homepage. I appreciate websites provide provide that experience for new users.
Then, next, I tried your product's functionality—and it was smooth!
Yeah, I was a really worrisome on how you'd ever monetize this, but from your response with the "Liffery Sidebar" thing you're doing, I knew for sure you had this all into consideration.
Congratulations on featuring on PH, too. Liffery really takes product research next level!
Love this idea – I've never been opposed to ads, but the targeting can be so off putting. Show me what I need and when I need it and I'm all ~ears~ eyes.
And this single pain point has been a huge driving force pushing us to get Liffery off the ground! It is not small task to re-imagine how advertising can work in a more positive way. We spent a long speaking to people, researching and pondering how to make something that is beneficial to businesses and consumers.
Shoppers want to buy. Shops want to sell. It is very simple... but somewhere along the line, ad-tech just got a little too greedy! We hope we can bring about a correction and make the whole experience more enjoyable.
@faridh do you think you would have a spare minute or two to complete our short Google survey?
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/...
Nice idea! Looks like a good way to decide between items. bit of feedback: when adding an item, the channel input has a down arrow next to it, which usually indicates "dropdown", so imo it's pretty unexpected when the whole view changes when you click it. Not a big deal though, the site looks and works great! Congrats on the launch!
@lucas_barnes thanks for the input... we're collected as much feedback as we can over here but also via email, Insta and some even on linkedIn... there are definitely areas of the UI that need improvement :)
@thejaime do you think you would have a spare minute or two to complete our short Google survey?
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/...
Our goal is to build the best tool for our users that brings as much value as we can. We need to speak to you all to keep learning and improving the platform.
If you add your contact details to the survey we would really love to have a short 1 on 1 call to hear any more of your feedback :)
Congratulations, Liffery team👏🚀 I really wonder how your capture will work in the future, it looks promising. One quick tip for you: Please make your sign-up a bit easier. Maybe a Google Mail sign-up option would be better.
@ardadiker yes, at the last minute before launch day we hit an issue with the Google sign-in so had to disable it. We are looking into the issue and it should be back soon.
For the app release however, we need to get the login with apple finished before we are allowed to release SSO onto the AppStore... it should be ready in a few weeks.
Thanks for the feedback, we truly appreciate it!
Congratulations on the launch of Liffery! 🎉 It's exciting to see your mission to transform advertising, product research, and community inspiration. Wishing you all the best on this journey! 🚀
Congratulations on the launch, this seems like an awesome tool!
Here is some feedback, I would like to monitor changes on the page other than price change. In my case it is a product stock availability, so there is a product that is out of stock and I would like to know when is it back in stock so I could buy it, or receive an alert when that section where it says "out of stock" changes to something else.
@thejaime thanks for the awesome feedback and idea! The way we have engineered Liffery, this is more than possible!
Do you think you might be able to drop this idea in our Ideas for Liffery channel? The team is actively engaged here and we are also asking the community there to vote on what we build next using our in-built feature, "Decision Maker".

Congratulations on the launch. Loved the product. This is very useful for me and my wife. we just bought a new house and are currently planning to buy a ton of stuff. of course. this will be really helpful for the entire process of decision making for us.
@chirag_dodiya Great to hear and congrats on the house! Please let us know how it’s going for you and if you can think of any improvements! We also used it a lot for researching furniture and we love it! We might be biased of course :)
I was reading the Our Story section and this "or maybe hold a browser tab open (amongst the other 100)" felt so relatable. The idea is novel and the story on how it came up sounds great. Looking forward to seeing you grow. Congrats on the launch.
@nithincp thank you so much for the feedback and nice words. It has been a lot of back and forth with features, user input and input from our early business accounts. We have a lot of planned releases for this summer... stay tuned for more :)
@sara_wanasek We couldn't have said it better ourselves. Thanks for your support! When you plan your holiday, remember you can also use our map feature, so you can save actual places and restaurants you want to go and see. :)
