@kunalslab ya! we hope this is a form of AR that is actually 100% ready to use today. It's not a beta or a dev kit, it's a product.
As someone that's been doing projection mapping for a while, I'm extremely stoked to see a product this sleek for < $1000; amazing job! One thing I'm curious about is if it has any support for outside scripting - would love to be able to use this for some digital <-> analog games I've been working on.
Absolutely wonderful to hear from an expert like yourself @alexisnorman. We can't wait till you get your hands on everything and give us more feedback. This is definitely the kind of thing we are hoping to extend the product to over time and figure out all of the best ways to support this. Right now we support hooking up shader/effect parameters in our software via OSC (open sound control) to any OSC capable software — this might be a great way to have your games communicate back and forth with Lightform.

We're particularly excited to see what this community will make with Lightform. Our goal is to open up the projected AR medium to anyone. We think creating augmented reality experiences shouldn't require learning 3D animation or programming. We fell in love with projected AR while building awesome (but expensive & complicated) AR projects at Disney Imagineering. We made Lightform to be a simple, powerful design tool that lets you quickly get started designing projected AR. We created a system that uses computer vision hardware to simplify the 3D content creation process - so you can create epic visuals in minutes.
We hope to empower a new group of creatives to design a future where digital designs and information are no longer confined to screens. We can't wait to see what you create.
