LiveAPI is an API platform that enables developers to build live video streaming apps with ease. We'll handle all technical heavy lifting from live streaming, encoding, and hosting to delivery with Akamai CDN.
@govindasunil I made an iOS app a couple of years back that used the iOS ReplayKit to stream the device screen. Was quite a hassle to get everything setup with custom rtmp servers etc. You should create an SDK that integrates with ReplayKit out of the box :)
Greetings, PH fam!
We are excited to announce the launch of LiveAPI.com, a set of easy-to-use APIs designed to help you quickly build and launch live video streaming app in days.
LiveAPI is a product by Castr, and we created it because we know how complicated it is to build a live video streaming app from scratch. We want to help project owners and developers to overcome all the technical barriers and start creating amazing streaming apps.
LiveAPI will take care of all technical heavy lifting from live streaming, fast encoding, hosting, to delivery with Akamai CDN. All you need to do is just plug and play.
Our infrastructure scales to handle thousands of concurrent live streams and millions of viewers.
And most importantly, our documents are clean and straightforward which are designed for anyone to use.
Drop a comment if you are interested, and we’ll get you set up for a free account.
Thank you for your love and support.
Hey guys, great solution, it saves a lot of work for anyone who needs to publish live streaming by leveraging a cdn and the support for multiple languages is very cool. It Would be interesting to understand whether it's feasible to have a CDN-Agnostic solution, in case a company already has the platform and the contract for a certain CDN (e.g. Google CDN or AWS Cloud Front, etc) how to reuse the same setup and infrastructure.
Additionally, for the Live Video Streaming, I was thinking about whether it's possible to combine the LiveAPI with additional AI services, like Live Captions and Transcriptions services, supporting and enhancing the same Videos (as this is a common ask in this domain).
Awesome solution! Congrats!
@giuseppe_di_nuccio Thanks for the comment!
This flow is completely possible, at the moment, it's possible for users to use our playback source as the origin in their own CDN.
So basically your CDN will be pulling from us. Please feel free to message us via live support, and we will be able to help set this up for you.
Regarding the additional features, we will explore these options.
