πŸ‘‹ Hello Product Hunt! We're a small, passionate team seeking to build product that enable the world's smallest, most ambitious teams to do really big things with a lot less effort. 80% of the world's businesses are small, resource limited companies. This puts them at a distinct disadvantage when competing against mega-corporations with nearly limitless resources. Tech needs change so frequently during growth, it's often overwhelming for small teams to evolve their data-layer as the needs of their business change. lolaDB exists to address those distinct, small-team data challenges through unique innovations along with consistent, unified developer experiences across the tech stack. Partnership is at the center of everything we do. We succeed when our customers do. We're beyond excited to build this product along side our customer's own growth journeys. We can't wait to grow and build really incredible things together!

πŸ‘πŸŽ‰ Congratulations on launching on Product Hunt! πŸŽ‰πŸ‘ I'm really curious about how lolaDB can help small teams achieve their goals. Can you tell us about a few use cases you've seen? Also, what are some of the unique features that set it apart from other data-layer solutions? πŸ€” We're excited to see what you build together with your customers! πŸ™Œ Here's to many more success stories in the future. πŸ₯‚

@paolo_degiglio Hey Paolo! A driving force for us is to drastically reduce the time needed for small teams to get new product live. Most frontend engineers building React/Vue/etc apps this day and age are stuck building two apps ultimately - one for the frontend, and one for the backend to interact with the database. We're seeking to eliminate the need for the backend piece so they can focus on just building the frontend app that actually provides value. We are early stage, so our range of offerings is still limited, however, a core differentiator from the existing backend data-layer solutions is that we don't force you to use a database that you're unfamiliar with. It is common for those platforms to force you to use PostGres or some other proprietary database. Our goal from day one is to be completely database agnostic, allowing you to use what you already know and love while we build a little magic on top. Our roadmap is quite different from existing providers as well, but we aren't quite ready to announce those features just yet :-)
