Awesome product!
Submitted my startup https://lucr.io/@feedbeaver and integrated with your API already to send you the actions, what's the next step? 🤔
This is a cool concept! Congrats on launch!
I love the approach to the problem ("so much noise, no one can find my startup!").
My concern is that this gives an early boost to user numbers, but when the Lucr group moves on to the next product, your startup is in the same spot as before in terms of needing users. Have you thought about this issue, and if so is there anything built into Lucr to combat it?
@jeff_osborn Hi! Lucr focuses not only on gaining early traction but your rewards can also help getting customers back. You can reward active users of your app, e.g. by offering one month for free if a user has already subscribed for 3 months, etc.
@open@christophrmite I created the reward. Looking at the docs for the integration.
Why not allow users to claim the reward directly at Lucr.io and then notify the startup via email/webhook just like Get Sworm (https://getworm.com) does? It will be more appropriate IMO.
@christophrmite I have a small concern though. Sending the customer's email in the endpoint is not really ideal. Because it means that each time one of my customer do the action I defined, his email will be sent to you, even if his not on Lucr, right?
Maybe we should ask to hash the email like gravatar does?
@tompec Yes, that is something to think about. At the first iteration I've created a whole process to generate user's hash but the integration was too complicated. So then I assumed that using just an email address would simplify the whole thing. But I understand your concerns. Thanks for the tip!
@tompec@christophrmite Is it possible to implement this if the functionality is there? We're going to need this to comply with the upcoming GDPR legislation (and for you to be compliant this will definitely need to be implemented)
@christophrmite - love it. Submitted https://lucr.io/@holly-social
Can I "lock in" our featured spot? Only just saw this (it's evening in the UK now) and won't be able to get it integrated until tomorrow.
@christophrmite Right - pushed the code to production, created a test account on your system (scotty@chooseholly.com) and then completed a reward on Holly Social - its shown up in the test users account :) Did I make it in time?!
Hi! How lucr works is really simple and is explained in "How it works" section on the main page. You can add your startup and offer rewards for users' actions. When you call lucr.io API we will check if it's time for the reward and call your webhooks.
From a user's perspective it should provide fluent process from searching interesting rewards to actually getting them. And as a startup owner you don't have to implement the whole checking for rewards process. The easiest way is to offer discount codes directly at lucr.io and just calling one endpoint.
Hope it's more clear now!
I like it. I would maybe consider adding more extensive search, as more companies join, it will get much harder to search, but that is for a later stage I guess. Great work!
Thank you guys for your votes! It's been super cool to be #1 on PH almost half of the day. It's getting late in Europe so I will put your integrated startups into the featured section of lucr.io as soon as I get up. Cheers!
Hello everyone! Lucr.io finished as #2 and I'm very proud. Next week I plan to add some features to make the discovery of your apps simpler for users. I've also build publishing process into the app already so the potential users see startups that have integrated and are working properly.
I will stay in touch with all startup owners via the newsletter and hopefully will start marketing for regular users in the beginning of December.
Thanks again for your support and see you on lucr.io!
Hello everyone!
Lucr is my first startup and I'm very excited to finally launch it! It connects startups with early adopters by rewarding active users of your apps and websites! With enough startups submitted it would allow potential customers to browse projects they've never heard of and rewards would be a motivational factor.
Integration is quite simple- all you have to do is call one API endpoint every time a user performs an action and lucr will check if it is time for a reward! We can then send you a notification via webhook of your choice or the simplest way is to put discount code when editing rewards.
You can check the documentation https://lucr.io/docs or have fun with demo app I've created https://demo.lucr.io/ (you have to be signed up to get rewards).
Hope you'd like it!
@nwzer@karimmaassen When you're ready with your integration I will feature your startup on the lucr.io main page. Just have to see a test action from your startup in database :)
