Are you planning to introduce the paid plan or it's more like pet-project? P.S: love your https://icons8.com/blog/ blog!
Ivan Braun
@lisadziuba We are not planning to monetize it so you are welcome to come by and play with it for free, anytime ;) P.S. I forwarded your comment to our Blog Editor... he turned red and the only word I could understand from his mumbling was 'Thanks' :)

@margaret_hutchins @lisadziuba What's your favorite way to open a Sketch file? πŸ˜ƒ
Ivan Braun
@lisadziuba @margaret_hutchins This is cheating πŸ˜ƒ
Ivan Braun
@lisadziuba Haha, fair point! πŸ˜ƒ

This is great. I'm not a Windows user, but the fact that Sketch is Mac-only is now a little less painful!
Kunal Bhatia
@chrismessina also easier for anyone who still needs to convince their dev partners to switch to a Sketch-based design workflow!
Ivan Braun
@kunalslab @chrismessina Exactly! No more "I can't open this Sketch-file on Windows" or "I'm on top of Mount Kilimanjaro and I have no internet connection here" πŸ˜ƒ

First things first, thank you @chrismessina for hunting us! πŸ™ We are very excited to launch Icons8 Lunacy 2.0: Standalone Sketch Viewer for Windows ELEGANT VIEWER Read Sketch files on Windows without annoying Mac plugins that sync to the server. Being a designer/developer on Windows is not the end of the world. There are several alternatives to Sketch on Windows that could help you save money and time.
Icons8

When we wrote it, we thought it's cool. An year after, we see that we've completed 90% of the features that Sketch supports, with the sole exception of the Symbols. Let's see how we see our version 3.0 in one year more.

Pros:

Great viewer

Cons:

Fonts are different

Muhammad Vaid
Finally a Windows viewer for Sketch! Awesome. Been hoarding templates in anticipation of this
Ivan Braun
@movaid7 You must have quite the collection of templates by now :) Time to use them as intended!
Ivan Braun
@movaid7 All the best with your classes!

Particularly, the best alternative to Sketch on Windows, until this moment, is Adobe XD.

I try use Lunacy, but it's heavy for memory.

Pros:

Simple to use.

Cons:

Drain almost 2GB RAM!

Ivan Braun
Hi Pablo, that's not acceptable. The typical numbers for the files of the average size is around 200 Mb. I've just tested it with the same file and it consumes 2.5 less memory then Sketch. I wonder if you use some special file? Do you have the latest version?
