I am Kashif, maker of lykhari. I build software for a living. I've been trying to blog for more than 15 years. I still do. I started with Blogger, then switched to WordPress, and then to Ghost. Blogger had a very limited, archaic set of features. the platform never evolved. WordPress is a bloated mess and you can't get many things right easily. I loved Ghost the most. I wrote about migration from WordPress to Ghost. Ghost offered a lot out of the box. Good editor, good SEO options, performance, and ability to build a mailing list. It came with a $9/month price tag for starters. Not bad. I've always wanted to build my own blogging platform but couldn't convince myself to build one. Then I saw a problem that none of the platforms solved. I write, but rarely market. I suck at marketing. I would write, publish a post, and then forget about it. Sometimes, even spent many weeks writing something and never talked about it. I would post into void. Part of the reason is I am lazy. I realized I need to repurpose some of the content from blogs into short-form content and share more often. To build an audience, to market myself and what I have to say. With the recent AI wave, I thought it would be cool to have your blog auto-convert into a podcast. Some software that takes your blog post and makes an audio out of it in your own voice. Heck, I believe it's possible to make engaging videos and shorts out of it. There are just so many ways software in 2024 can help a writer repurpose their content and build an audience. You don't need a team. Now I had two choices, either to make a content repurposing tool or to make a blogging platform that has all these features with seamless integration. I went with the second option. My wish to have my own blogging platform kicked in. I applied to work for Ghost once, but they rejected me so I was doubly motivated to build my own. Above all, lykhari has the product-market-founder fit too. Bingo! It is a product that has a huge market, although faces huge competition. Founder fit because I blog. I write at https://yakashif.com. I am my own business' power user. The basic blogging platform is ready but AI features will take time. It has a basic marketing feed that gives me short-form posts for social media. I am working on more. If you write and need a simple blogging platform that's here to stay and works for you, try https://lykhari.com. It's also the cheapest blogging platform out there for the features it has. I can assure you a few things. Lykhari is here to live. It's a small business that can listen to the customer and it will stay lean. Join me.

Congrats on the launch @yakashif, that looks very clean! I really dig the simple editor, looks like you're using Lexical? What made you pick that over Editor.js or TipTap? I also don't see any import/export options, not a priority I'm guessing? :)
Kashif
@kovshenin Yes, lexical. I didn't compare much. I checked lexical and it pretty much had everything and quite extensible, too. I like Ghost's editor and they use lexical as well. That was a good validation. Import/export I will build soon.
