@kosovan Hello, I'm downloading now to test it, thanks for this product :) I just wanted to say that I think that there is a problem concerning the app download on the website, it keeps hanging I had to manually get the link from the html a tag  😕

@t55 Hi and thank you! Currently, Malware detection works as scan on demand module with regular definitions updates. We are considering developing realtime automated detection and removal scanner in the future.

I'm a long time user of CleanMyMac and will definitely upgrade as this version looks great (brilliant work guys), but can I ask a couple of questions about the "One-Time Purchase – Valid for CleanMyMac X" option… how long do you see this version being current? I wouldn’t like to pay the upgrade price for "One-Time Purchase – Valid for CleanMyMac X" only to find that "CleanMyMac XI" is released after a year, as I would have been better just purchasing the "1-Year Subscription". Not being stingy, just looking for some clarification please.

@craigcpaterson Historically the release cycle of Major CleanMyMac versions is 3 years. But it very much depends on the new technologies and OSs on the market, and other trends, that we have to support. So we can not guarantee at the moment that this timeline will be kept the same.

@craigcpaterson But I would rather recommend do subscribe to a yearly plan, which will include any future updates.

@kosovan As much as I love CleanMyMac (X and all the earlier editions) the upgrade price is pretty steep. 50% off upgrade price certainly seems nice, but that's only the first year. So if CleanMyMac X becomes CleanMyMac X1 after three years you pay 100 euro instead of the one-time 45 euro. Will these 'New features regularly' only show up in the subscription version?

@kosovan @t55 Yeah, that part is messaged poorly, it gives the impression the upgrade discount is for the entire price, not its first slice. And the nudge towards subscription with "New features regularly" is really, really unclear.

@t55 @vslavik At the moment we don't have a clear roadmap for future major releases. We will develop and improve both products as one. But at some point in the future, it will make sense to release a new product based on newer technologies, and this is where we can commit to delivering this functionality for free to subscription customers only.

I've purchased the CleanMyMac 3. I've tried CleanMyMac X and found the differences are about the performance, UI design and melware detection. I don't think it worth to purchase the new subscription plan.

I've been using CMM for the last decade and the new X version is great. I also recommend MacPaw's SetApp subscription service b/c it includes this app and lots of others. CleanMyMac X has some nice improvements, including the app updater module. The new UX is slick too.

I was looking for a program without excesses and with a nice looking interface, I finally found it. It can be seen that the developers are thinking about the users!

I have not found any drawbacks yet, I hope for stable work and stable updates!

I've used CleanMyMac for a long time. It is amazing. This newest version is even better than the last few versions. They have included some amazing new features such as malware detection and cleanup. Highly recommended for anyone using a Mac.
