MakerTime AI - Eight Sleep For Deep Work. Level Up Your Deep Work Habits.
MakerTime tracks your deep work like a fitness app for productivity. It runs in the background, captures your screen activity, and uses AI to score your focus level. You can tailor it for the nature of your work, set daily goals, and track your progress.

Hey Product Hunt community! I'm excited to release MakerTime, a tool to accurately measure your Deep Work.
The world is full of distractions and tools to help avoid those distractions. But how do you accurately measure if your system is actually working?
I've tried out many existing tools like Rize and RescueTime, but for the most part they can only tell you what apps or websites you're using, which doesn't tell you the whole story.
Take YouTube for example. You can either be watching coding tutorials (productive) or comedy sketches (unproductive), so just giving a metric of "two hours of YouTube" is fairly meaningless. An effective tool has to be able to understand the semantic content of what you're doing.
Fast forward to 2025: LLMs and Vision Models are great at that! MakerTime takes screenshots of your active application window and feeds them into a local LLM/VLM to categorize your activity.
