Hey Product Hunters 👋, Thrilled to be launching the first indoor dataviz extension on PH today and so proud to be here for the second time! 🤓 About us I’m Mathieu, CTO at Mapwize. A few years ago, Mederic and I co founded this innovative open indoor mapping platform. Today, many organizations in different industries use our software to make their buildings smarter. But you might wonder: what makes our platform different and sexier than the others? - We’ve got a GREAT CMS to easily update maps by anyone, no coding required - We offer DEEP LEVEL OF CUSTOMIZATION that gives you the ability to manage multiple views of the floorplans depending on user profile - We are DEVELOPER FRIENDLY and offer complete API & native SDKs - We give you TRAINING & unlimited access to SUPPORT - We are OPEN and can integrate with third parties (Scheduling & Booking platform, Asset Tracking, FM, Dataviz, Indoor Positioning Systems...etc.). 🤔 What is Mapwize for Tableau then❓ Mapwize extension for Tableau allows you to display data on indoor maps to get greater insights to help you make the right decisions for your organization. Revenue per square meter, visitors occupancy, costs, air quality are some metrics that can be displayed with color codes on your maps. 🆕 How did we come up with this new product idea? Many of our clients and partners have been using Mapwize to overlay data on maps using our software development kits (SDK), but this required some technical knowledge. When a large shopping mall operator approached us, they wanted a solution to do just that but without coding, simply with drag and drop. So we decided to team up with Tableau to take advantage of all their data management and dashboarding functionalities, and add the indoor mapping extension. 👾 Let us know what you think! Last but not least, we'd LOVE your feedback! If you are already a Tableau user, it would truly mean the world to us if you would test out this new extension and let us know what you think, what you love, and what we should improve. Feel free to leave a comment below or email us directly at contact@mapwize.io so that we could improve this extension together! Thank you :)

Wow, we are so thankful and pleased to see that the product is catching the attention of so many PH. For those who would like to dig deeper and get more detail on how to integrate the Tableau extension, I recently published a complete video tutorial on YouTube. Feel free to comment on it or give us your feedback here: https://youtu.be/A2lO4tCy0A4

Hello PH Community, I’m Mederic, CEO of Mapwize. So excited to share our indoor dataviz extension with you all! With Tableau, we wanted to combine our great softwares and create an extension that would benefit many people, such as FM managers and executives. While they used to spend hours analysing real estate costs, space management and people metrics, they can now do this in just a few clicks! 💡 We instantly knew that data visualisation on maps would ease decision making like never before. Now, depending on their data they’ll know if their space needs downsizing, rightsizing and flexible working. Want to understand how Dataviz on indoor maps works and why it could be a game changer for your office? I recommend reading this article 👉 https://bit.ly/3pPpLoe

👋 Hello everyone, It is clear that offices have a strong and growing need to visualize data on maps but what is interesting is that shopping malls are also very demanding for this kind of solution! So many benefits for retailers have come from this extension. They can visualize data on maps in order to optimize the store rental, increase the number of visitors and the overall profitability, and let’s not forget the possibility to find new sources of revenue stream. I could go on and on about the benefits but in case you want to learn more feel free to read this article we’ve wrote on the topic: https://bit.ly/3vnLwN1 Any feedback ? Please, keep Upvoting 🙏
