A code snippets manager developed with web technologies. It helps you create and organize your own personal snippets collection and have quick access to it.
Hahaha, amazing work! I was just thinking about building something like this today to achieve my goal of becoming a 10x developer.
Thanks for making it so I don't have to :D
P.S. Please consider supporting a template engine with variable replacement. That way, the user can generate code with the correct variables. Also, being able to compose snippets would be really cool to turn on/off different pieces of code.
Cool idea, basically a code-supported version of Mac notes. However, it's not recognizing code, changing colors, or formatting at all. Currently doesn't seem to much better than the notes app, but I have high hopes for this in the future.
@antonreshetov I see, I have to select the code type at the bottom left. Would really like it to do this automatically by folder type. Also, wish it supported Vue, but obviously that is a limitation of Monaco
Hi there,
massCode developer here.
A new year with a new project! I am excited to introduce my app.
The goal of creating this application was mostly my own growth as a developer. Also, I wanted this project to absorb the best of such applications already on the market (both free and paid). At the same time, I wanted this project to be an open source project.
The main feature is a modern editor - Monaco, which is used in VS Code. Among the advantages of the editor are rich IntelliSense, validation for TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, LESS, SCSS, JSON, HTML. For more productivity, Emmet was added.
The next feature is the tray assistant, which can be called with the help of hotkeys, thus having quick access to the snippets collection from any application.
@noahraskin_ That's sad. I understand you're using macOS Catalina. I did some research, and I realized that this is a common bug Electron like applications that were run on macOS Catalina after. I've been dealing with that issue. At this point there is an alternative way to solve this problem on its own - https://github.com/antonreshetov....
Really awesome for developers. Please add export to html and pdf option just like Quiver. Also add file attachment option so that we can store screenshot results.
@felipe_otalora That's a good suggestion, I'll think about implementation. At the moment, you can use the tray assistant, for quick access. However, this feature is only available for macOS.
This is one of the best snippets manager, that I've ever used.
But unfortunately, it doesn't support LaTeX. I know it's not for programming nor WEB development, but many of us use it as a document maker.
Please consider adding LaTeX as a language.
Thanks,
Very useful app and a nice interface. I use it everyday.
Two suggestions:
- it could be nice to have the possibility to create sub-folders
- type a description of the snippet under the tags line
By the way, very good app! Thank you! :)
I think it's a great tool, thanks for sharing @antonreshetov
I just wanted to talk to you about a couple of utilities that would be helpful
when creating folders for the topics, it would be interesting to add the following options at the navigation level, please check the screenshot
and at the level of looking for the ability to sort by tags which would be very useful.
@timonweb You are right, but I've been using this software and I have to say, as a Windows user, I am grateful that @antonreshetov created such a useful piece of software.
Been using massCode for a while now and it's absolutely flawless. Lightweight, responsive, straightforward, and I absolutely love the IntelliSense integration and the Prettier code formatter.
Absolutely love it. I was just about to create something like this, and reluctantly performed a search one last time before the journey. And there it was.
