@bentossell I got tired of all the (highly popular) blog posts about CRO tactics and "techniques". That stuff is giving CRO a bad name, will make people fail at it and reduces it to a "checklist".
How can you tell if your optimization process works? A) You get a higher percentage of winning tests, and B) more uplift per successful experiments. If the way you do optimization is by trying out random ideas or testing tactics from a list of "proven techniques", you're going to fall short.
Conversion optimization is not a list of tactics. It's not copying your competitors or market leaders. It's not best practices. It's a teachable, repeatable process.
