The new single column view is great, especially paired with the new light theme.

I've been enjoying Mastodon recently, it has a much more authentic vibe compared to the mass self-promotion on Twitter and other social platforms. Excited to try the new layout, my instance hasn't upgraded just yet.

What I have wanted from Mastodon since the day I joined

the layout now make mastodon more familiar social, closer to mainstream social like instagram, twitter, Facebook

Pros:

good for newbies or for those wanting a simple user experience with bigger images on timeline

Cons:

missing trending hashtags like on twitter

Been watching it since 2017 and has come a long way.

Pros:

No Nazis!!!! feels like Twitter 07-10

Cons:

Open Source, small dev team, insular communities, hard to find friends, hard to convince friends to move/maintain new platforms.
