This looks like some intense innovation - congrats! Two questions though:
1) This level of data in my house (inc. camera) requires trust - are you worried about naming it "Matrix"?
2) The design is strong, but I'd worry about it fitting in with the rest of my house. Any customisations planned?
@gpat_uk Thank you Graham!
1) We're not worried, to us the MATRIX describes bringing the current and next generation of creators all over the world together to create the next evolution in hardware and software.
2) We have an extensive roadmap, this is only the beginning for the product and ecosystem.
@gpat_uk We are using industry-standard approaches to ensuring your data is secure. The Matrix does not transmit video, unless you explicitly ask it to, all computer vision computation is done within the device. We also conduct regular third-party security audits and are considering a bug bounty program to ensure the Matrix is as safe and trustworthy as possible. As far as the name goes, I can't see how naming it 'Matrix' or 'Honeypot' makes it more or less secure.
As far as customization goes, our first priority is to deliver a solid product which people love, then see what makes sense for next steps based on customer feedback.
This looks great. I'm wondering why you chose to charge extra for early development kit access. Isn't it in your best interest that developers get the chance to create integrations/apps for your product as soon as possible? This is a pretty common trend with Kickstarter tech products so I'm curious why.
This looks awesome! Congrats, Team Admobilize. MATRIX seems like a slight pivot for Admobilize, where Admobilize was/is more focused on businessnes customers, MATRIX is focused on consumers. Any reason for the shift?

Thanks for having us PH. We love this place!
We’re super excited to be featured on Product Hunt today!
MATRIX sets out to make it easy to build IoT applications not only with our hardware but with our software too!
Would love to hear your thoughts on it!
MATRIX is a beautifully designed device that allows you to create and download applications for the Internet of Things - giving you a device that can be used in many different ways at once. With fifteen onboard sensors, MATRIX allows for more than thirty-two thousand sensor combinations that let you control the temperature of your home, monitor your small business after-hours, and so much more.
@vadivelk Hey Vadi, great question, in short, all the sensors can work in parallel! Our goal with the MATRIX OS is to allow you to initialize any number of sensors and applications simultaneously, and run them at once.
@javaughn Thank you for your note. MATRIX is an evolution of our vision. Our current IoT product, the AdBeacon is being utilized globally with medium to large businesses and also being utilized by small business owners wanting to better understand their physical world. As developers of cutting edge-techology, we believe in the creative power of developers to change the world. Today, there isn't a unified Internet of Things platform powered by a single device that allows the industry to reach its full potential; that why we created the MATRIX. We like to think that the convergence of the iPhone with brilliant app developers catapulted the mobile revolution. We are excited to work with developers globally to do the same for IoT. Wishing you all the best. - Rodolfo
Thanks for putting that all into perspective in that great answer, @rodolfosaccoman. As always, it's been amazing following your journey, and I'm excited to see what you'll do next!
