Hi Product Hunt 👋 I’m Jeremy, founder and CEO of Mayday, and I’m excited to launch the Public Beta version of our all-new AI-assisted calendar. This means that anyone can now download Mayday if they are using Google Calendar and an Apple device. And for all Product Hunt users today, it’s free to use! How is Mayday different from other calendar apps? - Mayday is native software, built using SwiftUI for Apple devices on macOS, iOS and iPadOS – we’ve optimized the product with feature parity across all your devices right out of the box. - Mayday learns as you use it to predict the most ideal times to schedule your different priorities. And we do this in a way that keeps your privacy at the forefront - your data belongs to you. - Mayday understands your True Availability by bringing all of your work and personal calendars into one place. And with automations and tools to manage all of your obligations in one place, you can achieve schedule/priority fit. Features and benefits of using Mayday - ❇️ AI-based scheduling at Ideal Times – The more you use Mayday, the smarter it gets. Mayday evaluates your scheduling preferences and patterns to find the Ideal Times for everything you schedule. - 🏷️ Smart tags – Keep your calendar organized. Categorize your events with Smart Tags, and Mayday can apply powerful automations for different types of events. - 🔗 AI-Assisted scheduling links — Use one-off or reusable scheduling links to open up your schedule to meet with others, and Mayday will make ideal time suggestions based on your personal preferences - 🛡️ Calendar Shield – Protect your time so you’re never overbooked. Set a daily threshold or manually invoke Calendar Shield to protect your day from filling up with too many meetings. - 🗣️ NLP for event creation – Create events using the same language you would use to communicate to an assistant … “Find 30 mins to meet with Adam this week about Product Hunt” - ☝️FYI Events – Just because you need to know about what's going on, doesn't mean that you need to be involved. Use FYI to visually minimize events and declutter your timeline. - 👯‍♀️ Calendar Sync – Synced events help you ensure your availability is properly reflected on all relevant calendars by creating private, mirrored placeholder events across multiple calendars. - 🧘 Buffer Time – Buffer time creates placeholder events before and after an event to help you prepare, debrief or take a breather from too many back-to-back meetings. - 👀 Menu Bar – Gain instant access to your upcoming meetings. Designed for efficiency, it offers quick shortcuts to join your next meeting, keeping you on track and always in the know. - 🧰 Widgets – With Mayday widgets for iOS, iPad, and Mac, it’s like having our popular Menu Bar feature on all of your devices – see what’s coming up and join meetings from wherever you are. - 🪟 Time Windows – Define what your ideal week looks like by setting your default availability for different types of events. Depending on what you’re trying to schedule, Mayday will always try to prioritize your unique availability. We are so excited to get your feedback on this – let us know what you think in the comments! Many thanks for visiting today – Jeremy & The Mayday Team

Mayday is pretty awesome. It has been a part of my daily workflow for a while. It started as a replacement for Sunrise, and it has evolved to something way more useful. Calendar Shield is surprisingly subtle and helpful -- it makes sure that my calendar is never jammed to the point of disaster. It just keeps my 4 work calendars, family and personal calendars working together for me. Being able to "sync" an event across all of the calendars has been a life saver. Thanks @jeremybell and the Mayday team, you make my life better.
Adam Day
Thanks for the shoutout @davidcrow - Calendar Shield and Synced events are definitely some of our most widely used features. Both of these are key to ensuring your time is protected for the things that matter to you. And by applying Synced event defaults with Smart Tags, Mayday can automatically ensure the availability that your calendars reflect is always up to date - without you having to think about it and while keeping the event details themselves private from those that only have access to some of your calendars.

Congratulations! Any chance Apple Calendar integration will be implemented?
Kyra Aylsworth
Coming soon @tombarys! Outlook will be next, and Apple after that. Thanks for asking!
Tyler Swartz
This looks like a great product. Excited to test it out! The part that really resonates with me is the ability to tell the AI my priorities (eg. find more time to do deep work) and the AI will help me keep my calendar on track, sort of like a personal assistant.
Adam Day
@tylerswartz Thank you! The framing around how AI will enable the calendar to in a sense become like a personal assistant is exactly in line with where we want to take the product with our next few releases (another PH launch in our future perhaps??). Our goal is to move beyond your calendar just serving as a dumb ledger of all the things you and others plan with your time. Today we can do that with intelligent suggestions on ideal times and with natural language processing on events that you're trying to create, but there's a lot of exciting stuff on our roadmap that we can't wait to share more on soon!
Kirill Sokol
I'm impressed by this product and can't wait to give it a try! What I find particularly appealing is the feature that allows me to communicate my priorities to the AI, and the AI will assist me in managing my schedule, much like a personal assistant. Good luck with launch!
Adam Day
@malkielfalcone Thanks for the support! We're just getting started with what Mayday's AI can do but we're moving in the exact direction you mention - great insight. There's no reason for your calendar to just keep a record of what you spend time on, we're going to make it so your calendar IS your assistant.
Desi Saran
@jeremybell I signed up and got a link for the app store... is there no windows app, or can I just use it from the browser?>
Kyra Aylsworth
Hi @desi_saran – thanks for trying! Mayday is native software built with SwiftUI and currently only available on MacOS, iOS and iPadOS.
Sunil Sharma

tarodi carmad
Good project
Adam Day
@tarodi_carmad We appreciate that - thanks!
Michael The Geek 
Looks very nice.
Adam Day
@michaelthegeek Thanks! If you're going spend most of your day in a single piece of software, it might as well be beautiful!
Brittany Joiner {Britt the Builder}
Very cool! Does it look at my teammates calendars to know when they're available and suggest a time? Or does it just suggest a time that works for me and I'd need to confirm availability with my teammate?
Adam Day
@britt_joiner Mayday suggests ideal times based on everyone's availability. When you schedule with your teammates, Mayday can layer their Google Calendar availability into those suggestions to suggest a time when everyone is at least free. But when your teammates happen to be other Mayday users, the ideal time suggestions become much more intelligent since the software can make predictions not only using the raw free/busy status, but also understanding your teammates preferences and patterns for scheduling different types of events.

I've been using Mayday for a little over a year and a half and it's been great. A few bugs and glitches in the early days, but that's to be expected. What I've appreciated most is how quickly the Mayday team fixes bugs and iterates on the product. I love the scheduling tool and the ability to add teammates availability to the scheduling link as well. Trying to juggle the calendars of multiple people in order to find times for client meetings has been a headache, but Mayday really helped address that. I also love the menu bar quick access to join meetings! Looking forward to seeing what new features they roll out next. Congrats on the Public Beta @jeremybell and team!
Adam Day
@jeremybell @tom_tompkins Thank you Tom! Really appreciate your support as a beta tester (and all your patience in the early days while we worked out the kinks 🙂). We're thrilled to hear how the product has been helpful for you and can't wait to share more on what's to come!
Sunny Kumar

Jeremy Bell
@vigey Thanks Luke!
Adi Patel
Great work team, looks super slick. Windows support on the roadmap?
Adam Day
@adi_patel Thanks! And yes absolutely - Windows support, as well as Android support are both on the roadmap. We'll be focusing our next few releases on bringing additional calendar integrations (Outlook coming in the next few weeks, iCal shortly after that). From there we'll be exploring additional device support outside the Apple ecosystem.
Shubham Pratap Singh
Congratulations on the launch🎉!! !
Adam Day
@shubham_pratap Thanks for the support!
Meridja Hadj
Too confusing couldn't get it to work with long questions then I got nothing not even a download link idk even if this is real or just and MVP at this point
Kyra Aylsworth
Sorry to hear @meridja_hadj! We are currently sending invitations to Mayday to people who are using Google Calendar and at least one Apple device as it's only available on MacOS, iOS and iPadOS. Definitely real software though!
Giles Crouch
I've been lucky enough to be in the beta and absolutely love this calendar app. There are a lot out there today, but there's something about MayDay that seems to just work better. Tags are great for organising and I use the shield function a lot, especially for writing times.
Adam Day
@giles_crouch Thank you Giles! Your support and feedback as we've been building Mayday have been hugely valuable. We're grateful to have a beta tester like you! Can't wait to share more and get your feedback on what's coming next.
