Hello world! Thanks for stopping by! On behalf of the whole MeisterNote team, I'm delighted to welcome the PH community (and the world) to our beautiful new tool. πŸ’› MeisterNote drives information creation and sharing into an extraordinary new dimension. You can use the tool to create team knowledge bases πŸ’‘, perfect your meeting management strategies 🀝, achieve clearer internal communication πŸ“’, and manage your project documentation βœ…. As a single user, it's perfect for personal notes and self-management too πŸ“. All of this in a beautiful, streamlined interface that makes the tool a joy to use. Looks matter in MeisterNote because you, our users, matter too πŸ‘«. It's important to our vision that users enjoy their work and trust the process of productivity – a well-designed tool is a huge part of that experience. Likewise, by minimizing clutter and keeping functionality as close to exactly what you need as possible, we've tried to ensure that anyone can use MeisterNote: no onboarding or tutorials required. Although we think it's pretty awesome already, we're always looking to improve MeisterNote. If you think there's something missing, or that we can do better, we're all ears πŸ‘‚πŸ‘‚. I'd love for you to try out the tool and tell us what you think. Happy Writing and Happy Hunting! πŸ–ŠοΈοΈ Michael Hollauf & Till Vollmer Co-Founders, Meister

Great work here! What make it stand out from say google docs? Good luck with the launch!
Mitchell Orme
This looks stunning! I'm really keen to see if its possible to work as a split document, have a border separating two sections of copy?
Patrick Prokesch
Love the design and how smooth it is @mhollauf & ?makers πŸ¦„! will it be integrated with other products from Meister & Google Workplace, Microsoft etc @mmuenzing
Michael Hollauf
@patprokesch thanks Patrick - yes of course, many more integrations to come, and the existing ones to be deepened. Task creation in MeisterTask makes assigning action items from meeting notes already really smooth though.

Hello, I was looking for a Note App. The purpose is to share notes, co-elaborate on, AND create Tasks in my TaskManagement tool. Meister Note does it. Personally, I enjoy the elegant design and smart functionalities: good search tool, plan navigation, etc. @Michael Hollauf, Will we have a Mobile App? I hope so. Congratulations on this elegant development.
Michael Hollauf
@iponopi thanks for the kudos - yes, there will definitely be a mobile app, like we have them for MindMeister and MeisterTask. For now there's only a web-based view only mode since we think that consuming content is the most important use case on mobile, and we want to iron out the UI and feature set on the web app first before jumping into native development.

Seriously loving this tool. We finally have a beautiful knowledge base with information about all our processes, tools, team members and more. Feels good to know that I can go on holiday anytime and not have to worry about getting frantic calls β€” if anybody has any questions, they'll now find the answer in our MeisterNote workspace within seconds πŸ’›

A revolutionary product from a user point of view. I was a beta tester for 6 months and this piece is software is all you can expect from a note-taking app and much more! The profound integration with MindMeister and MeisterTask is extremely useful because now I can produce long-form creative assets and attach mind maps right into them. I can even assign trackable tasks to my team for later execution, without leaving my note-taking app. Gone are the days of loosing creative inspiration after jumping between different screens. PROS All you can expect from a note-taking app and much more! - Plain and formatted text - To-do lists - Headings H1-2-3 - Bulleted lists - Ordered lists - Files - Code snippets - Info boxes - Warnings - Tip boxes - Quotes - Icons - Line separators - Embeddable media Revolutionary differentiators (deal makers): - Ability to attach mind maps from your MindMeister account - Ability to created tasks in your MeisterTask projects All without leaving the note screen. CONS Not a con to be honest, but it would be nice to have a "full Dark Mode", or the ability to change the color to the white note space. Thanks to the ?makers for building such great tools :)

Loved the tool in the beta phase, looks like you've really put the work in to get this ready for launch. As a writer, I absolute love using the tool, and I must say the marketing copy on your homepage is ON FIRE as well. Keep up the good work, Meister!

@the_jackal Thank you so much for your feedback 😍 We are writing, editing and storing all our copy in MeisterNote and absolutely love it ❀️

It is a great product that I use daily! It is an easy way to store all of my content and share it with others when I am ready for it. Not to mention, the design is easy on the eyes and the program is super easy to use!

I started a journey with you using MindMeister, then MeisterTask appeared and I thought "what a blessing" that now you can connect cards with tasks. However, there was not enough service for preparing texts and I registered with Notion. I really hope that MeisterNote will also cover this need for my work. Thank you for the excellent functionality and rapid progress "through the thorns to the stars"

Looking sleek. Any plan for iOS version in near future?

Everything is beautifully streamlined in MeisterNote. What I love the most is the version history. It gives me the ability to see who changed things in the workspace and it is displayed in a better way than in google docs! Kudos to the MeisterNote team and keep up the good work

How does MeisterNote compare to Notion? They seem really similar
Thomas George
@mutasem_al_abweh As a paid-up Meister employee, my answer would be that it is better in every imaginable way. However, from a neutral perspective, there are a number of key differences between MeisterNote and Notion - some are functional, others are philosophical - and the tool you choose depends very much on personal choice and your requirements. So, here goes: Notion is what you might describe as an "all-in-one workspace" - this means that in addition to being a digital notepad, it has certain functionalities that make it relevant for a variety of other use cases too. It has Kanban boards and other widgets that you can add on to mange different activities within a workflow. There are obviously very positive aspects to this, namely that the tools you use are "under one roof" so to speak. However, it has negatives as well. Firstly, the feature-heavy nature of Notion can make the tool seem very cluttered and confusing to operate, and secondly, Notion (we think) falls into a "jack of all trades, master of none" trap. In my own opinion, the Kanban boards aren't as good as a dedicated tool's would be, nor are the whiteboarding or mind mapping widgets. It's okay - but if you're really serious about any of the "secondary topics" you would need a different tool anyway. On the other hand, Meister is a dedicated documentation app. It doesn't try to be a million different tools at the same time, because we think that a simple, intuitive documentation experience is what teams need most. The question is this: what happens when you need to use a Kanban board, or integrate a mind map, as part of your project documentation or ideation process? That's why we've built MeisterNote to connect seamlessly to MeisterTask, our online task management tool, and MindMeister, our online mind mapping tool via the Meister Suite. We've also included integrations with plenty of other external software that teams know and love, which can be called up easily within your notes via the "Embed" content block. In basic terms, MeisterNote has the potential to match (or even better) the functionality of Notion, but is much more flexible in terms of scaling. So essentially your choice is between one tool that does a lot of things in a "good enough" way and a suite of connected, dedicated tools that fulfil the same purpose with a fair bit more depth. In terms of user experience, we feel that our offering is a much better proposition - I hope you agree there!
Andres D'Andrea
@mutasem_al_abweh As a user I was about to write something among the lines of what the ?makers already did, so, there you go mate +1
Mutasem Al-Abweh
@thomas_george2 Thomas! Your reply is over the top! :D I am happy MeisterNote has someone like you. I do agree with many of the drawbacks that you point out from Notion, but still agree that the Kanban boards for me in the same tool is more meaningful right now for my personal use. (I do admit though; Notion can look really complicated so I just use Kan ban boards rn) I tried introducing Notion to my team at work but they were more interested in tangible white boards where you use a marker to make adjustments. It got really messy tbh (marker stains and all) but that's what the team wanted. I think what stands out most from what you said is "It doesn't try to be a million different tools at the same time, because we think that a simple, intuitive documentation experience is what teams need most." What brought you to this conclusion? "An intuitive documentation experience." Do you mean drafting, preparing and sending MOMs on MS Word are a 'waste of time'? Use MeisterNote instead? Do you mean something else entirely? No worries :) I am just tryna link my experience with what you said with what I 've done. How about managing maintenance in a building? Like imagine making daily rounds to check for toilet paper in bathrooms, relatively full water coolers, to check for any lights in the building that aren't working, stuff like that...Would you recommend using MeisterNote instead of an Excel Sheet ? Why/why not? How/how not (features)? Thanks again and tyt to reply :D
