Oh yes! I love to see when such simple yet super effective products are launched on Product Hunt. It's a pure gold, and that's what we need PH for - not for big business launches, but for such tiny but helpful tools like Messer. Great job guys, will try and share my feedback later.

@paul_shuteyev It's just me, but thanks a lot for the compliment! Make sure to share it with your friends :)

Hi Product Hunt! I'm Oscar, I'm introducing my latest project, it's a small native app for the most basic task of all: converting and resizing images I'm currently trying to grow my following, which means I post images a lot, however, these images need to be in a specific format/ratio. Usually, I would go to one of the many websites that resize and convert images, but the experience is subpar and it's a drag to do this multiple times a day. Therefore I created a fully native app that does this for me, converting an image takes a second and since it's deeply integrated with macOS it works by simply dragging and dropping, first you drag your image to the menu bar, adjust your parameters, and then drag the image out directly where you need it ⚡️ The app is very basic right now, but it's just the first version and it's free! So, enjoy!

@ospfranco I just tested it and works great. Did you also maybe consider adding px resizing options? I for example always do it in Preview.
Oscar Franco
@igorranc thanks! I did not consider a lot things, since it took me like a day and a half to develop, but what kind of px resizing do you exactly want? like cropping? or just reducing the pixel count?
Igor Ranc
@ospfranco hi! So my worklfow is the following: I make a photo, and then resize it to 1024px in width (Preview) and push it to tinypng and upload on WordPress. Its rather simple and fast. I am not sure how many people do it this way and if there is any market for that or is it saturated completely... I liked Messer, but does not really fit my need.

Could easily be added, maybe in the coming weeks, I'll take some time to do it
Ken Babcock
Can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to take an image from 1270 x 760 to 1280 x 720 in the last week! 😥 Great solution!
Oscar Franco
@ken_babcock I know! it's this super annoying and super tiny task! 🙂
Kitze (Kitze)
I like it! Idea: save image presets on the left, and when dragging over an image preset automatically apply the settings (instead of switching settings all the time)
Oscar Franco
@kitze_kitze_ preset have been added as a paid feature for a cheap yearly subscription :)

Nice tool. Corner radius, color adjustments and alpha transparency would be great additions to this.
