Metacode is a menu bar app that lets you code faster using natural language. Avoid excessive typing, switching between your browser and IDE to look up code, searching for code you've written before etc.
Right now Metacode supports Swift, but will soon add more languages. Let me know what you think, and don't hesitate to suggest more problems you want solved in your programming workflow!
If you want to request a programming language/get updates: https://forms.gle/Yfgxn3yi4JHvjmD17
@tscepo What I'd really like is a way to add a language / context (Backend JavaScript doesn't have much in common with front-end JS), and manage them through a market place / package manager.
But I love what you did here
I remember when @tscepo first talked about this "thing" he was working on I was like "surrrrreee" Then one day he showed me a demo and I was like "Oh, shiiiiiiittt"
If I could have this for everything in life, I'd be way further along in Zelda. It's unfair that engineers get to use the future before it even arrives.
Awesome project, well done!
I have a couple of suggestions:
- could you add a setting to disable the keyboard shortcuts or to change them please?
- I don't know if it's me or a bug, but the code builder and the settings windows are not visible in the dock or in the app switcher
Thank you!
@albemala I see – it's a menu bar app, so the dock icon is hidden – but it makes sense that we should show it when you open a window like code builder. Will add that and the ability to customize the keyboard shortcut 👍
@patrick_pool right now it's just for the Mac and supports Swift – adding more languages soon based on feedback, and will eventually also go cross-platform.
