Hi Everyone,
I'm Sharon, Founder of Mobilize, we are excited to launch Mobilize 2.0! @benln thank you so much for hunting us!! ✌️
Mobilize is the online home for over 1,000 communities and 1,000,000+ members. While working with these amazing communities - we’ve learned that what they all truly long for is fostering a true sense of belonging online. Therefore, We’ve been working hard in the last few months building ״The Lounge” - allowing members to get a better sense of belonging and community experience online, similar to what they usually get in real life. In addition - we’ve redesigned Mobilize to provide community leaders all of the tools they need to organize their community - a Member Database and an Outreach Center.
What’s different about Mobilize 2.0:
1. The Lounge - a home for your community to meet, network, access community resources, attend events, engage with polls, share ideas and so much more. Checkout our feed - we combined best of both words - threads and live chat!
2. The Members Directory: Members can find each other by tags and connect with each other by creating private or group chats.
3. Events & Files: Members can opt-in to upcoming community events and have them sync to their personal calendar. Getting also a resource center where managers and members can add and share files with each other.
4. Outreach Center - Create email blasts, meeting invites, send text messages that can be sent to everyone or targeted with smart segmentation and personalization with animated GIFs, images, links, CTA buttons and merge tags.
5. Member Database - Your place to own, organize and manage your community members with advanced features, filters and actions
We’re incredibly excited about this version and are here to build the best community platform for community leaders. So please - share any feedback you have. 🙏
Thanks for checking us out! 😍
Hi,
The tool looks really amazing
The amount of freedom you have to work with your data looks great.
Also, the ability to manage mini-groups within your community seems really useful for our needs.
I have two questions though:
1. How does stack up against a product like Facebook Groups?
2. Also, who do you think can benefit the platform the most? What type of communities.
Great product! Good luck with your launch!
@roypovar Thank you so much for the feedback and questions!
I'm glad you found out sub-groups system and member database useful!
To answer your questions:
1. Mobilize & Facebook groups are pretty complimentary. Here are things that Mobilize provide members and managers to create a true 360* community expirience:
A- Member Directory - Communities are all about people, so we build a full member directory with rich and customizable profiles to help members find each other using tags (location, expertise, role, company, anything you want) and connect directly.
B- Multi platform engagement - We believe in true inclusiveness so members don't have to login to participate in the conversation. Every group also has an email address so discussion can happen simultaneously on email, mobile and web.
C- Database & Scale - Facebook provides a lot of discoverability thanks to it's popularity. Once you recruit new members on Facebook - Mobilize can help you scale and organize your community. On Mobilize you can create multiple groups, have a full member database to easily manage your members data, use registration forms to recruit new members from your site or other platforms.
D- Events calendar, Resource center and more - the lounge provides members access to an event calendar that they can sync to their own calendar and ability to view and share files.
By the way - we've reached out to Facebook in an open letter that was published in VentureBeat to ask them to open their API so both platforms can be fully integrated, check it out here https://venturebeat.com/2017/06/...
2. While Mobilize serves over 1000 communities and a variety of community types - from Professional networks, Developer Communities, Brand Ambassadors, Unions, Political movements, Associations, and many more - we see ourselves as "Member-First" - we set ourselves on a mission to provide member-driven communities the best solutions to build and grow their communities.
Please let me know if you have any other questions! Thank you so much for your support! 🙏
This solved a huge problem for me. I've been researching a good member directory for our 200+ employee company for over a month. The member directory is perfect and unique at this price point. The event sharing solution is awesome and not sure I've seen something like it either. The directory is so good IMO that it could succeed as a standalone product (+ help embed in community websites), vs Faces. Love the new design.
@muninjlm Thank you so much!! 🔥 We're happy to power your community and to see the value that you're getting from the member directory and events management! Feel free to reach out with any new idea, suggestion or feedback!
@nathanaelkhodl - Great question! After we launched our iOS - @frenkelor our Head of Mobile products is planning the android launch for this month - stay turned and join our Android beta group to check it out and influence what goes in it: https://mobilizechampions.mobili...
@paulreichman Hi Paul, Thanks for the kind feedback!
Mobilize takes a different approach to community building and engagement than most platforms by providing the community manager all the tools they need to manage their community, together with providing members the best experience to boost engagement.
Here are a few key things community managers and members can get on Mobilize:
1. Owning your data - Mobilize includes a full Member Database that can actually become your CRM - you can organize your lists and data and get full visibility into your community.
2. Outreach - We understand that community managers operate and communicate with members in different channels and therefore created a full communication center with Email Blast, Text Messaging, Calendar invites, and other capabilities to enable your to organize activities and communicate at scale.
3. "No member login required" - We understand that each member has its' own channel preferences - so every group lives both on Web/Mobile app and as an email-group- so member can engage and reply to posts from wherever they are.
4. Multiple-groups - Community is an eco-system of groups so on Mobilize you can setup multiple groups to create different circles by topics, regions, etc.
5. Networking - Rich customized profiles with advanced search - using the data from member registration forms, etc - you can customize member profiles so that they'll truly enable networking - where members can engage with one another based on shared interested, profession, location or anything else you define.
Please let me know if you have any other questions - and feel free to check out our free version to see all of that in action :)
Congrats on the update! Curious, is there an option for clients to host this on their own server or is it hosted on yours (and accessed on client sites via subdomain)?
@dannygreer Thanks Danny!
Mobilize is cloud-based and hosted on our servers. But if you wish to create a full branded experience for your members - Our enterprise tier includes everything you need to white-label the platform:
A. Custom Domain - Connecting your own domain to create a branded address such as: community.yourdomain.com.
B. SSO - Single-Sign-on with your OPENID/SAML.
C. Customized Branding - Using your own color scheme and banners.
D. Zapier/API integrations to sync data from your own servers/CRMs to Mobilize and back.
You can learn more about it here: https://mobilize.io/blog/custom-...
@franchiseking Hi Joel! Thanks for the feedback - Mobilize has a free offering - you can enjoy the platform for free with up to 500 members , 3 groups and all of the important features! Only if you want advanced features then the price starts only at $45/m for 500 members (our pricing is similar to mailchimp since we give you unlimited emails and SMS). Please share more feedback ! we're always seeking to improve our offering!
I'm happy to see this community finally starting to put efforts at supporting folks that are fighting for social change, well, now we are fighting to keep the few rights marginalized people had here in the U.S. Tools like Mobilize 2.0 seem very useful, going to give it a try with a network I created and see what happens!
@marco_castro_bojorquez Thank you for the kind words! Please let us know if you need any help. We're here to support you and the many organizations that are building communities to create impact. Btw, here's a webinar you might find useful - It's a webinar with Megan Abell (previously from Airbnb and now at Common Sense Kids Action) about building political and social movements https://mobilize.io/blog/politic...
Hi Sharon! We are looking for membership apps for a few different purposes - one for our spa members, and another for an online holistic education platform we are building. I love the idea of your lounge! Do you have an active "lounge" that we could join, maybe for test users? Hard to get a feel when it is just us, talking to ourselves. ;)
