We started Momentum because we’d discovered that most people want to give 2x more than they already do, but life often gets in the way. There are a bunch of barriers like figuring out where to donate, how much or how often to do it, and what it's helping do in the world. We built Momentum to make this whole process easier. Momentum is an automatic donation app that helps you give based on your lifestyle, interests, and values. For example, every time Trump tweets, give 10 cents to the ACLU (you can set a limit). When you get a coffee, round it up for people who need clean water. Or support children's health with every mile your friend runs. You can give to any nonprofit in the country, and we’ve also built collections of trustworthy charities from independent evaluators. Momentum tracks your impact (like pounds of carbon offsets or lives saved) so you understand how you’re making a difference. So far, our community of early users have donated $35K and we’d love for you to join the movement. Incredible idea and execution - and kudos to the team for getting this into the App Store. There is a large unmet need in creating a platform that makes giving simple and repeatable, and Momentum is doing great work in that area.

Momentum makes giving easy, fun, and even kind of cool. I love that I can give based on things happening out in the world (like Steph Curry hitting an amazing 3 pointer, or the president tweeting... again) or something I'm doing, like getting coffee or traveling. While the app now enables you to give to any charity (great new feature!), it's pretty rad that Momentum also curates charities and tells you the super specific impacts of what you and the whole community have given.

This is a total game-changer for doing good through effective giving. If you've been wanting a more streamlined and direct-impact way to do your charitable giving, this app is basically designed specifically for you.

I used the app and felt great knowing I was giving on a regular basis without having to remember to go to a donation page and enter my card information. The link to my expenses is also fantastic. 10/10 design!

Refreshing idea: founders that actually are trying to make positive change in our society. Everyone wants to give, but just like investing, most of us don't get around to doing it. Breaking down hurdles towards giving by gamifying it is a fantastic concept. The startup world needs more of this.

Momentum allows me to customize my giving in several ways: I can select the specific rules that trigger my donations, I can select the charities I donate to, and I can adjust the donation $ amounts to my own budget. It's visually engaging and fun to use, while making a real difference in the world.
