I just finished an SEO course and marketing is really interesting to me. When I took the course, I ended up bouncing around between lots of tabs on my browser...analytics, adwords, my CMS, and none of this included social media marketing (something I haven't even looked at yet).
I'm impressed by the range available with Mondovo.
I've been talking for a while now about what I call "amalgamation products" -- products based on a combination of effective tools or other products -- and I think Mondovo hits the mark on that way too. This isn't about re-inventing the wheel or disrupting some industry, this is about creating value through efficiency by offering lots of things people are already using under one roof. I like products that offer those kinds of services.
@UXAndrew Very cool find, Andrew. I'm a big fan of HubSpot, another awesome all-in-one marketing tool. I couldn't find the Pricing page for Mondovo, any idea what it costs for startups?
@narekk Since they're in Beta, it's free. I talked to them and from what I can understand in the future they'll have a credit-type system so companies can basically get exactly what they want without anything they won't use.
@narekk We have just put up the pricing page on our site. Here's the link for your reference: http://www.mondovo.com/pricing.php
Do let me know if you have any questions about the tool, would be glad to help.
Just tried it out and overall I think it has lots of potential, though I don't know how I feel about the pay per use aspect of things. While I understand it's probably more efficient for those that just use a little, I hate the feeling of being nickel and dimed with almost every interaction. Also, since it's in "Units" it's harder to know what you're actually spending. As per South Park, we all know this is the current trend, but it's deceptive, regardless of its effectiveness.
On to the product. Has lots of nice reports, though none of which I could get to actually give me non-empty results, so they must be having issues at the moment. I also think there's tons of room for improvement regarding defaults. It seems I have to re-enter the same information over again, even though I've already specified what domain I'm working with.
Overall, looks like a potentially good product but has lots of room for improvement. I'm sure they'll get there.
@asherraph Thank you for the feedback. As for the pricing, we have the credits system to give our users the flexibility of being able to work with the features they'd most need. In other toolsets, the features are usually capped out at certain limits and you end up paying the full fee for just one or two features with those limitations in place. I believe that once users have used the system for a while, they'll realize the benefits of our system.
Since we're still in beta, there have been a few issues here and there. However, most reports should work. If there was anything specific that didn't work as expected, please do let us know so that we can have them checked.
Appreciate the frank inputs.
