congrats! i use the scheduler product all the time. would be neat if there was some ai on that side that could intelligently handle scheduling calls & meetings. =)
Been using Motion for over a year now and it's indispensable for me. And especially impressed with how fast the team iterates and adds new features - they are super in touch with their users and know what we want!
I think you've come across a really special differentiator for a productivity / task management platform. I'm going to use it for the full 7 days before making up my mind but this is what I noted so far:
- I like the POV that tasks should be visible in one's calendar. It's not for everyone but I think it's Accountability 101.
- It takes more work to input tasks than other platforms - fields like duration are not something people often work out when trying to jot down tasks but it's important for the autoscheduler
- I think an AI scheduler works great for an individual but I'm not sure in which team structures a tool like this wouldn't be considered too "bossy"
- The web interactions (right clicks, bulk select etc) need some love but it's overall simple enough to use.

Been using motion for awhile now and it’s so nice to have something that keeps my adhd brain on track and focused during a day. The addition of teams and projects has upped our entire orgs productivity by a lot. Team is incredibly responsive to feedback too. Can’t recommend highly enough
I absolutely love Motion! Probably the only calendaring/productivity tool i didn't think twice about upgrading to the paid version. It basically replaced the need to hire an EA. Keep going Harry and team! You're doing stellar work. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with next!

Motion (https://www.usemotion.com/teams) plans what each team member should work on each day based on their team projects and calendar. For each project or task, you can tell Motion how long it will take, its priority, and the deadline, as well as if there are blockers, other dependent tasks needed to be done before a particular meeting, available working hours, and/or which meetings are optional. Motion then automatically adjusts each team member’s calendar and task priorities into an optimal schedule. Whenever things don’t go according to plan (which they never do), Motion automatically re-prioritizes everyone’s tasks and calendar so everything gets done, helping destress teammates by offloading all the cognitive processing surrounding what to do next; instead you get to stay in that hyper-productive flow state that also feels really good.

We’ll use the money to continue investing in product and engineering. Our top priority is improving our task planning automation algorithm. We believe the prioritization algorithm (the way in which Motion plans your tasks) is the real differentiation that no one else has nailed yet.
Solving scheduling is a difficult engineering problem. There are so many variables to account for when personalizing a schedule to each user, and this must be done while satisfying performance and efficiency constraints. Solutions today ask users to do this manually. It’s easy for a team to dump all their tasks (which they’ll never finish) into an app. It’s difficult to figure out a great execution plan.
Improving Motion also means improving everything around the algorithm that makes it useful, including the product, design, and infrastructure that allow people to use Motion. Over time, Motion will automate more and more of our days. Motion will help manage and automate everything from top-level OKRs to individual projects and tasks, to daily planning, calendaring, meeting scheduling, and coordination. Currently, companies use half a dozen different tools to manage all of that manually, and it is very cumbersome to integrate them. Motion will integrate all of this functionality into one comprehensive view that is constantly re-prioritizing automatically.
We believe that fundamentally magnifying human output without increasing input (e.g. time) is a trillion-dollar market with billions of users.
