Awesome, @randfish. The Moz product team should also consider (unless this counts as product creep) adding OCR functionality https://github.com/tesseract-ocr... so that you can train the app that crawls these URLs to also pick up text inside of images.

Finally a better alternative

I use this daily. Not only is it typically more accurate than Google Alerts, but you can tailor the sorts of alerts you want much better (e.g. alerts for mentions of a certain brand or thing where a URL to a certain site isn't present etc). Lets you better organise the actions you take off the back of the alerts you receive.
