@pamevls_ a reminder that we are not crazy, just cyclical women, and we can welcome our hormones more kindly, thanks for making the app fun and friendly
Very cool interface - I will definitely try it myself and recommend it to my friends!
Good luck today guys!
This is such a refreshing take on self-care. Most cycle-tracking apps just give data, but Musa actually helps build habits in a way that feels fun and natural. Love how it acknowledges that motivation isnāt the same every day, because thatās so real. And the dragon thing is genius. Who wouldnāt want a little creature to grow with them!
Congrats on the launch!
Best wishes and sending lots of wins to the team :) @pamevls_
@whatshivamdo Thank you Shivam! My baby dragon has been a game changer to help me stay motivated :)
Wish you all the best with this. Someone who is constantly on a roller coaster will appreciate it. š
@busmark_w_nika Thank you, Nika! The rollercoaster is real, but it can be way more manageable if you tune in to your body... Musa will help you do that! Please give us feedback if you try it :)
@nickabouzeid @pamevls_ š„ This is such a fresh take on cycle tracking!
Most period and self-care apps focus on tracking symptoms rather than actually motivating users to improve their well-being. The self-care game concept + cycle-based motivation system feels like a much-needed innovation! š
Either way, this is an app Iād actually recommend to friendsābecause who wouldnāt want a dragon-powered self-care system? šš„
@nickabouzeid @kui_jason love this!! Thank you Jason, this is exactly why we started.. we want to help people actully reduce their symtpoms with lifestyle changes!
Good Job :)
š”consider adding community challenges where users can collectively complete self-care tasks to unlock exclusive dragon evolutions...
Happy to see something women-focused, founded, and with a meaningful mission. Y'all are crushing it and the day's not even half over. Good luck! š
Wow great product and it must be so rewarding to work on something that is actually helping people experience less pain.
Great job @pamevls_ and team!
Iāve been a Musa user for almost a month, and I absolutely love the app. Itās a must-have for all women, no matter their age.
@carlitalima93 thank you so much, Carla! Glad to hear you're finding the app useful :)
I am really grateful that there is an app that focuses specifically on our hormones, ideal and necessary to understand ourselves better.
Hello wellness enthusiasts and dragon fans on Product Hunt! š
We're excited to launch Musa, a self-care dragon that is so cool it makes anyone wish they had a period! (Seriously, thatās the most common reaction we get from people who donāt menstruate. š).
Why Musa?
While building my last company, I got an autoimmune disease on my thyroid from excessive stress. Every month, PMS hit like a truckācrippling anxiety, mood swings, and exhaustion, before my period and brutal cramps once my period arrived. I was even misdiagnosed with depression when, in reality, hormonal imbalances caused by stress were the real culprit.
š High stress = worse PMS and cramps
I wasn't alone. Over 80% of people with cycles suffer cramps and PMS (premenstrual syndrome), which shows up as anxiety, mood swings and low energy once a month. It is common, but it is NOT normal, itās a sign that your hormones are out of balance. And one of the biggest disruptors? Cortisol, the stress hormone. More stress = worse PMS and cramps.
š§ Changing habits is hard, motivation fades away quickly
Did you know that for people with cycles, brain chemistry shifts up to 25% every month? Our motivation (dopamine and serotonin) levels peak around ovulation, and then quickly drop. That's why daily routines just don't work, because you are not the same person everyday of the month. Staying consistent with self-care feels impossible when your motivation is constantly fluctuating.
š The solution: A self-care game to motivate you in every phase of the cycle
We turned self-care into a game that is synced to your cycle. You get an adorable baby dragon that only grows when you complete your daily self-care exercise. Plus, Musaās Hormonscope (backed by scientific research) predicts your mood and energy for the day, with personalized tips for workouts, food, and mental well-beingāall tailored to your cycle.
š¤© It works!
I was able to almost completely reverse my thyroid disease by syncing my habits to my cycleābut it took an insane amount of effort. Musa makes it 10x easier by keeping you engaged and motivated without the burnout. In our closed beta with thousands of users, over 60% of users use the app daily, and 75% build a self-care habit longer than 4 months.
šData privacy is our obsession, feel free to use anonymously with Guest Mode
We take data security seriously. Your personal info (name, email) is stored separately from your cycle data, so they canāt be linked. We use bank-grade encryption, offer Guest Mode (use the app anonymously without email), and let you delete your data instantlyāno waiting, no recovery, no exceptions.
š Know someone with a cycle? Share Musa with them!
Weād love to hear your thoughts, feedback, and dragon name ideas. š
