Looks really cool. 3D jewelry seems o be taking off big time
@pdurginbruce might be a dumb question, but are there any letter combinations that can't be put together b/c their shapes conflict?
Hey y'all! Designer and co-founder here. Mymo is our first foray into putting 3D printing to use in manufacturing customizable products. We're just jewelry at the moment, but have some new products in the pipeline, including housewares. Check it out - just put any two letters or numbers into the site to generate a 3D monogram.
Happy to answer any questions!
Thanks, @rrhoover. The original product idea was me designing one for my wife as a Christmas present - combining our two kids' initials. It went over so well, we decided to create an app to generate them to sell.
And thanks for appreciating the UX - we put a lot of thought into getting to a single-page shopping experience, forgoing the typical e-commerce funnel of browse > choose product > choose options > order.
I had the same question at first, @KristoferTM, and there were some problem scenarios. But we designed our own custom typeface, adjusting the letterforms to work with the geometry structure, and within the limitations of 3D printing. Some make a nicer combination than others, but they all work now.
