We believe the ability to show the sources is table stakes for a search engine. The technical idea behind NeevaAI is to combine the retrieval power of search engines with the generative power of LLMs. This line of work is called Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and I am proud to be a part of the team that is one of the first ones to productize this. NeevaAI combines the best of the web with the power of AI, but the best way to sum it up is probably this: If you’re used to seeing a wall of blue links – NeevaAI gives you one fluent answer. If you’re getting fluent answers (on ChatGPT or elsewhere) but need to trust the results — NeevaAI results are backed up by real data and citations. As Chris mentions, we were the first company to launch these quick AI answers backed by actual data — but we’re not sitting back! This morning we launched citation cards. Click on a sentence in our summaries, you’ll see a card on the right with additional details, allowing you to fact-check the AI in a user-first experience and choose where you want to dive deeper. We’re able to innovate and move fast because we’re a startup and subscription-based — our only motivation is to create a better search experience for you and our customers. I’ve been using Neeva exclusively for a week and it blows google out of the water for every query I’ve had

Neeva's become my default search engine since you rolled NeevaAI out -- I'm loving the synopses at the top of (a higher and higher percentage every day) my searches.

I’m already a Neeva user and subscriber. It’s a superior search product that is only getting better with the addition of “NeevaAI” The most important feature here is citations, which give links to the source materials used in constructing the answer. I think that’s a strategic master-stroke for three reasons: 1/ Gives me confidence as a user in the provenance of an answer 2/ Allows me to dig deeper for more information or to understand nuance in the source material 3/ Keeps Neeva aligned with publishers. Other search engines monetize via advertising decorating the results. This creates incentives to hide citations for two reasons: a) more unpaid links = less monetization b) creating derivative content and decorating it with ads would/will incite a tidal wave of copyright lawsuits And while “AI” is a neat feature, it’s just the icing on top of the superior cake that is Neeva. Neeva was already, without question, my favorite service these days. Neeva's privacy-first philosophy is simply unmatched. Their search features do more than simply compete with Google and the rest of ISPs; they leave them all in their dust. And all without sacrificing the users' data and privacy. But NeevaAI? Oh. My. God. 9 times out of 10, I get exactly what I need from it's results. I cannot remember the last time I got to the bottom of the results page, let alone had to click "next." NeevaAI is a game changer, and proves once again that tech companies don't have to abuse people's information in order to come out on top.

I am really enjoying NeevaAI and getting my questions being followed up with an answer that cites the sources. What a great idea. I love that privacy that I get from my searches, knowing that my data is not being sold to third parties.

I've been using Neeva as my default search engine for quite a while (and completely appreciate the experience more and more). I'm still on the fence about NeevaAI but only because I'm just delving into the value it brings. I've been playing around with ChatGPT and what I like about NeevaAI is that its answers are rooted in trusted, documented sources. I still think there's a lot of room for improvement but AI is here to stay and the better we can make it, the more valuable it will be.

Neeva is absolutely brilliant. No ads, customized news feeds, saved searches, calendar integration, and the search results just keep getting better. I've been in the search marketing field for 25 years, I am an author, adjunct professor, and consultant. Based on my experience with Neeva so far, I can honestly say that they are pioneering the future of search and building a platform made for users not advertisers. I'm excited to use Neeva and even more excited to watch the journey from infancy to the leading search engine online.

NeevaAI has gave me several magic moments already. Having recently adopted a new dog I have some fairly silly questions (e.g. how to teach a dog to “stay.”). Instead of scanning through bloated articles filled with ads and SEO filler NeevaAI provides an accurate summary, and even let’s me go to the original source for an extra sense of confidence.

When I see such products, I imagine how people at Google office shake with fear! :)

It is actually surprising how similar the current search experience in 2023 is to what it was in 2003 compared to how much other products and services have evolved during the same period. As a UX designer who worked on search products for many years, I can feel that there is a real chance to make meaningful changes to the search experience, today, finally. Imagine a search engine that not just gives you the web pages based on popularity, but has the intelligence to understand their content and distill only what you asked for while ensuring freshness and trustworthiness of the information. Imagine a search engine that is not designed for advertisers, but only for users. Helping to make Neeva AI and the process of it gave me a strong confidence that our team is uniquely positioned to realize the imagination of new search engines. NeevaAI is a complete game changer. In addition to Neeva’s continually improving search engine that has really improved significantly over the last year I’ve been using it exclusively, NeevaAI now adds a completely new layer into the mix. The search experience has changed for the better and gets down to what I’m looking for specifically, every single time. Kudos to the Neeva team!

I've been using Neeva for over a year now, and I'm also a paying customer. I've been beta testing this feature now for a few months, and I have to say it has changed how I search for the better. I think Neeva is worth giving a shot. It's been my default search engine since I joined a year ago, and I don't see myself looking back.

Very excited about more conversationally iterative approaches to search — where you can discuss what you're seeking and the engine can work with you to produce an answer (or set of answers) to your query. Neeva.ai is the first to launch — but watch for Bing (and Google) to launch their own efforts in this space. 👀
