@rrhoover that's one of the scenarios we had in mind when building this feature 😂 also scratching your face, putting your hand through your hair, etc.
Love all the innovation happening in the camera space — and the competition among apps that are enabling people to turn their iPhones into high quality webcams to uplevel all those Zoom calls we're stuck on!
I'm a big fan of NeuralCam's Pro app that brought excellent low-light performance to the iPhone with AI... and now they've brought a product — powered by the same NeuralCam Engine — to the live streaming/webcam market.

I like the “Rough” Editing Style, love me a bit of greyscale! Sometimes colour can be too much and a retro black & white feel is all that is required!

Hey Alex can you help me troubleshoot real quick please. I installed the apps on my phone and laptop. When I open up Zoom or Google Meet, my phone doesn't not show up as a camera. I am connected to my laptop with USB as well. I'm sure it's user error.

Does this still require use of an iOS device as the webcam after installing on a Mac? If so, here's a vote for creating a version for the Mac that uses the built in camera :) That's where I do virtually all of my business videoconferencing.

@harvey_beck Hey Harvey! The Macbook's webcam is a lot lower in quality when compared to even older iPhones, so the image quality would be really low. Also, Macbooks do not have a Neural Engine at the moment, so running advanced machine learning algorithms in real-time is not really an option, when compared with the low quality webcam. The iPhones & iPads, though, have both a Neural Engine and a very high quality camera, and we're making full use of them with our solution.
Great product but seems to leak memory like a sieve on my 16" MBP - it will max out all 8 i9 cores after ~30 minutes of use.

We think current background segmentation used by most video call apps looks.. pretty bad. Using face tracking, we put you in a "head bubble" and hide everything around it — including your 3 year-old storming into the room.

NeuralCam Live’s Low Light Mode brightens up your video with a similar (though a lot more lightweight) technique used in our NightMode photo app. It allows you to look good in video calls even in low light settings, a gentle light from your monitor is usually enough to provide a nice video feed.

Just installed the Mac plugin, but after choosing the Neural cam for a Google Meet in chrome I only see a green background.

I think “smooth “ filter is the best. You know it makes you look beautiful. Traditional webcam makes you look uglier than you actually are. This app will surely top charts 😍
