newCo is a platform providing a bunch of tools for makers.

We have two main areas of focus:

- An online remote bootcamp where we help teach people how to build and launch products with a custom curriculum, unlimited support and weekly check-ins.

- Online programs ran by companies like Webflow, Jovo, Prototypr.io and Women Make

I've been following newCo for a while and am impressed how fast @bentossell and @mubashariqbal are iterating over their ideas and solutions. By just looking at the website, you can tell that they learn new things about their users every week and tweak their product accordingly. Way to go!
Ben Tossell
@mubashariqbal @einkoenig thanks so much! Excited to see how the Voice App program develops too!

This is great, but does anyone know if anything like this specifically for learning to code? i.e. someone that will guide you through coding a new (simple) app?
Ben Tossell
@zee hey there are lots of coding bootcamps out there you could try https://www.switchup.org/ranking... - or https://lambdaschool.com/ which is probably the best choice!! If you're a good self-learning then try FreeCodeCamp, Treehouse or Codecademy.
Zee M Kane
@bentossell Thanks Ben. Yeah I'm currently working through FreeCodeCamp but was wondering if there was a bootcamp where you actually build an app of *your* dreams as part of the course. Obviously, within a certain scope :)
Ben Tossell
@zee Potentially something we will be looking into doing in the future... for now - we either teach you how to build a project without code, or use their current coding skills to build a project (and of course, all the things in between!)

Congrats on the launch @bentossell and @mubashariqbal! Awesome to see you guys inspire others to create products :-)

As a non technical founder, building things without code has always been a sticking point, but using the skills and techniques collated by Ben and newCo anyone can build what they want without code (most of the time :-)).

Pros:

Anyone with an idea can get started using the knowledge providing by newCo

Cons:

ZERO!

newCo has been running since May (in one form or another). Our goal has always been to help people build products with or without code. We are always iterating, chatting to users and seeing how we can best serve our community of makers and wannabe makers but we have two main areas of focus: - The Bootcamp is where we see what your goals are, build out a custom curriculum, provide unlimited support throughout and help you learn to build and launch products. It's 3-months, no contract, cancel any time and the first week is free. - Companies like Webflow, Jovo and Women Make are running programs on our site. They set a goal (e.g. Build and launch in 30 days) then you join a bunch of other makers in the challenge. I encourage you to check out the Women Make - Just f*ing ship it in 30 days challenge, it's inspiring to see so many products, updates and over 100 members taking part! Also, we have a bunch of tools for PRO members to access including newCo Toolkit, knowledge base, deals, a database of early investors, and a bunch of other things. Lots of these are early stage and we continue to build these up.

@bentossell Congrats on the launch Ben & Mubashar! πŸŽ‰ Thanks for giving me the possibility to set this up with Women Make!
Ben Tossell
@marie_dm_ No problem - it's been so awesome to see the Women Make challenge evolve. We'll have to make sure there are more challenges once this one finishes!
KerryBodle
@bentossell awesome! I’ve been looking forward to it. Most boot camps are a bit behind in new coding tech. This is a sure way to stay at the cutting edge!
Ben Tossell
@liquidchickenqq thanks for your support! We certainly hope so!

@tonydieu thanks!

Despite being a technical founder, the launch newCo was an eye-opening experience for me as it's always hard to breakdown your ideas into small pieces and test them quickly. Ben's approach influenced me a lot :) Congrats!
Ben Tossell
@_n1ks thanks!!

A project with this mission statement has always my vote. Well done, good luck, and lots of success, guys!

@leanshot thanks!!

Ben has been very available to make this a success. newCo is really well made. I think what I found the most useful is the product updates so everyone could check the progress and support each other. I even more appreciate the product since it’s been developed by indie makers.

Pros:

It truly is a great way to gather your community/company around a common goal.

Cons:

None.

Ben, Mubs, and newCo is great! Love having my lifetime membership. Glad to see it evolving and growing :). Can’t wait to see what happens with it in the future!
Ben Tossell
@imdaeshawn woo thanks dude
Aaron O'Leary
There is nothing I'm more excited about in the tech scene than the nocode movement, I've been coding for years and I'm constantly blown away by what people are making with 0 code skills. Everyone can make! Congrats on the launch Ben!
Ben Tossell
@aaronoleary Thanks! yeah so much can be built without code πŸ˜ƒ
Aaron O'Leary
@bentossell I love it because the less you spend on the code, which let's be honest is a lot (errors everywhere!) the faster you can ship and the longer you can spend onboarding new customers! πŸŽ‰ it just makes sense!
Ben Tossell
@aaronoleary yeah I think the nocode piece is key for validation! Once you have that then you can learn/find people to help you build something bigger and better (if you even need to!)
Aaron O'Leary
@bentossell Exactly! So good for validation and so many viable products anyway that require no code.
