Featured

Build, run and share Slack apps & commands - write your code and Commander does the rest. There’s nothing to install, no servers to manage, no services to provision. You can create custom automations and run these commands in Slack with one-click installation.

Nimbella commander was easy to integrate with my Slack workspace. I liked not having to switch back and forth between terminal and slack since with the /nc command, there was a terminal like capability that Nimbella commander provided within Slack. From installation to running commands, I found the product to be intuitive and the documentation to be easy to follow.

@ashish_kakran Thanks Ashish for your review. There are many pre-built commands in our command registry - try them and give us your feedback!

Greetings, Product Hunt! First things first, thank you Kevin @kwdinc for hunting Nimbella Commander, I’m thrilled to join this community for the very first time! I’m the maker and Chief Architect at Nimbella, survivor of two motorcycle accidents, serial entrepreneur and techy with 20 years of experience. As a developer myself and having worked with many development teams, I’ve always tried to simplify all the processes and make them as painless as possible. Startups have small teams and we are constantly working on increasing productivity through self-service. That’s how the idea of Commander was born. Simply follow 3 steps to create your first serverless commands with Commander: - Add Commander to Slack by clicking https://nimbella.com/commander/s... - Create your first command by typing - /nc command_create hello - Run the command by typing - /nc hello To get you started, we have several pre-built and open-sourced commands, simply cut-and-paste and run in Slack: /nc csm_install aws (manage resources in AWS) /nc csm_install do (manage resources in DigitalOcean) /nc csm_install ibm (manage resources in IBM Cloud & IBM Watson services) /nc csm_install github (interface with GitHub) /nc csm_install netlify (interface with Netlify) /nc csm_install shopify (access Shopify for inventory, orders, product sold) /nc csm_install corona_stats (get coronavirus statistics for any country or region) With Commander, you also get these additional security capabilities like access control, secret key management and audit trail. Nimbella Commander has forever free tier and we’re giving away today 90 days free Pro tier! (you just need to sign up and the 90 days will be automatically added to your account within 48 hours) Please ask our team any questions in comments and build Command Sets it with us in our DevOps Slack community: nimbella.com/slack

It's really very easy to install. This is a lifesaver! Thank you guys!
Anshu Agarwal
What new pre-built commands/integrations would you like to see?
nupur jain
This is really a user friendly and convenient tool.. definitely going to use it
Ashwani Agarwal
Have tried this product for coronoa_stats. Was very useful and quick.
Eric Swildens
@ashwani_agarwal2 yes, it's trending now in Commander. Very easy to see the graph (growing, slowing and falling down) in any region/country. Thank you for upvoting us!
Sumana Gururaj
We use Commander's corona_stats Command-Set in our company, Freight Tiger. We run the command regularly in our slack channel to track the number of cases in our country, state and region. The advantage of running the Commander's command in Slack is that everyone within the channel can see the graph and stats of the command as opposed to checking it on any other website.
Anshu Agarwal
@sumana_g_sumi Thanks Sumana for your review. There are many other utility commands that we have open-sourced - please try them and let us know what else you would like to see.
Deepika Tripathi
I too use slack and now looking forward to build my command set which can help me utilize my and my team's efforts efficiently.
Deepika Tripathi
Very useful and user friendly great vision guys.
Vishant Agarwal
@deepika_tripathi1 thanks you so much!

I have teammates from all over the world who speak different languages. The translate command set that I installed is actually a pretty cool way to share our languages with one another! I literally just ran one command and I had this functionality for Slack.
Yulia Aslamova
@priyanka_trisal awesome to know that you like the tool! I'm happy to assist you with any queries!
I installed this at work (I'm not on the engineering side!), and found it easy to use the commands you provided. Really excited to see more commands, as I find Slack to be not much more than a glorified AIM 90% of the time, but if I could access data I really needed, that woul dbe a real gamechanger.
Vishwas Manral
Very useful @eric_swildens. You mention Microsoft Teams. Does Commander work for Teams already?
nikhil ap
@vishwas_manral We're going to be launching Commander for Teams very soon!
Vidul Prakash
User friendly and secure with great functionality
Vishant Agarwal
@vprakash Thanks for checking and appreciating!
Arushi Sangal
I can't wait to show my teammates the custom functions I'm going to build! Great job on the app!
Eric Swildens
@arushi_sangal many thanks! please reach us out once your teammates would review! Happy to assist!

First, I was surprised how easy it is to install and run. Second, not having to manager servers and services - that is gold. Third - Sure, there were earlier attempts from other developers to run shell commands from Slack - but security was an issue. NC's security feature feels like another major win. Fourth, this seems to me like a good way to control various services from a single place - have to check this feature out more. If the promise holds out then I dont have to depend on other services to enable control from within Slack - NC will do it for me. I have a few other questions about whether others in the Slack channel can see the results, etc. Will explore further, but this promises to be a neat tool to be productive.

I was blown away at how quickly I had functionality up and running in my Slack workspace. In less than 1 minute I generated a "hello world" function. Then one minute later I was able to install a command that translates the text I passed into it. Not having to worry about server logic or infrastructure really takes away a lot of the headaches of building Slack apps.
Vishant Agarwal
@julia_golubinskaya happy to know you liked it. Thanks, for giving it a try
Ron Lord
I'm glad I came across this Slack app. I've been wanting to try building something that is serverless but didn't know where to start.
Yulia Aslamova
@ron_lord we're happy to know that you like it. We have a detailed tutorial on how to develop your own serverless function in 20 minutes. I strongly suggest you to check it out https://youtu.be/WfPxupH_zfM

I could never imagine that there is so much to play around with Slack with a tool like Nimbella. Pretty interesting, with the recent UI/UX update from Slack, I'm spending more time on Slack than ever. With just simple commands if I get all the info on my Slack dashboard, I would really appreciate it. Cheers team Nimbella
Vishant Agarwal
@parth_suba yes, you can build commands within Slack, Give Permissions and run in slack you don't need to go out from Slack.
