Nitric Deploy - The right infrastructure, auto-provisioned in your cloud

Get the right cloud infrastructure auto-provisioned from your code. Write your app once with Node.js, Python and more, then push to deploy to AWS, Azure or Google Cloud. No config or infrastructure YAML files, no tedious deployment tasks. Just focus on coding.

Hi PH, I'm Jye, co-founder at Nitric, and I’m excited to be launching Nitric Deploy here on Product Hunt! The Nitric team and I all come from roles building and delivering cloud software. We love cloud tech, but have first hand experience with the challenges of wading through cloud documentation, getting bogged down by the number of infrastructure decisions required, and spending hours on config and deployment scripts. We wanted to make it possible to just work on your product with confidence that it’s safe, reliable cloud software. Nitric's goal is to let you shift focus back to your product, making modern cloud development easy, productive, secure and portable. Jump straight into building your next application with familiar programming languages like JavaScript, Python, C# or Go. We have templates for each, local development out-of-the-box and single command deployments to all major cloud providers. You can skip learning specific cloud services and instead build with familiar components like functions, APIs, events, queues and buckets. When you're ready Nitric does the heavy lifting of turning these requests into concrete cloud resources, with security and scaling by default. Our new product Nitric Deploy takes things a step further with push-to-deploy from GitHub. You can build and deploy distributed cloud applications for AWS and soon Google Cloud and Azure from a single codebase in less than 10 minutes. We also support multiple environments and branches, so you can test new changes in isolation before moving them into production. We'd love to have you try out Nitric Deploy and share your feedback on how we can make the cloud development experience even better. Our team will be here answering questions throughout the day, and we’d love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!

Building Nitric has been a lot of fun, and using it myself I can vouch for how much we care about and focus on improving DX. 😄  It’s been motivating to see how Nitric increases productivity for dev teams with limited ops resources, by allowing them to stay focused on application logic and simply express their requirements for running in a cloud at deploy time. I’m especially excited about helping teams minimize infrastructure maintenance as they scale. Imagine the manual work you can avoid by coding with a protocol for applications and cloud platforms to communicate, so that the infrastructure those applications need is automatically provisioned and deployed (check out the resource visualizations in Nitric Deploy!). I can’t wait to hear what you think, and I’m happy to answer any questions.

Working with @tjh and the team has been a pleasure. Thanks for your hard work on this release, it's pretty exciting as we've already seen a good amount of interest from the dev community.

Seems cool!! Congratulations on the launch!!
Jye Cusch
Thanks @binay_singh2! We're excited to see what people start building.

@binay_singh2 u tried this product?
Rak
@binay_singh2 You can get started with a guide if you like, heres a link! https://nitric.io/docs/guides/se...

Congrats on the launch! How easy would it be to replace a PaaS like Heroku by Nitric Deploy?
Jye Cusch
@jipiboily that's a great question, it's certainly not a 1:1 replacement but using the Nitric Framework which is open source and optionally combining it with Nitric Deploy for CI automation should be an interesting alternative to Heroku for people that want to maintain the smooth developer experience while moving to other cloud providers like AWS, Google or Azure.

I love the product launch. Full disclosure I have worked with many of the Nitric team before and they are super awesome. The company I am with is building a very cool biotech product. While the deployment architecture is very sophisticated, its is also very unproductive and quite fragile. For new devs joining the team, it is extremely intimidating. This is a major impediment in delivering new features, and building our team. We are really looking forward to using Nitric to get our agility back. For anyone interest in the AWS pieces we have lots of bash scripts, 1K+ lines of Terraform, SAM for Lambdas, some Github Actions. Then we have the AWS services ECS, Fargate, Lambda, VPC, RDS, Route53, ELB, API Gateway, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager. This is all before we even get to our code!
Rak
Thanks for the support @malcolm_edgar, we’re super stoked to be working with you and your team, and are in active development with some new features which are directly inspired from your feedback!
Steve Demchuk
Thank you @malcolm_edgar! It's awesome that you are giving the community a glimpse into your world and how the Nitric solution can help. We love what you and your team are building and are super excited to work with y'all. Cheers!
Laurentiu Ciobanu
How do you infer the required infrastructure from my existing codebase?
Steve Demchuk
👋 @laurentiu_ciobanu, glad you asked! Our VP of Engineering, @rak_nitric, wrote a blog detailing how it works here - https://nitric.io/blog/self-prov.... Check it out and let us know what you think!
Rak
@laurentiu_ciobanu feel free to reach out if you need more specific information, happy to share more links or have a chat about your infra requirements!
Shahadat Shemul
Wow, the design is awesome. Who is the designer? From font choice to layout, everything is cool. Congrats on the launch. Hope for the best.
Jye Cusch
Thanks @shemul 🔥 we worked with Brett from https://www.designjoy.co/ he's outstanding, easy to recommend.
Advait Vaidya
Congrats on the PH launch!! Do you have cyclic.sh or railway in the pipeline?
Jye Cusch
Thanks @advait_vaidya3, we don't have any other providers on the immediate roadmap. That said, the core technology for Nitric is open source and we'd happy to collaborate on contributions. Right now our team is focused on adding support for new languages like Go, Java, Kotlin and maybe Rust.
